the '91 skins won 17 games, Had the year's best offense, and the best defense. In fact, they are second only to the '85 Bears in average margin of victory.

Art Monk not being in the HOF is one the biggest travesties in all of sports. They may not actually be the best ever, but they are definitely one of the best of the last 20 years.

I really can get mean if you start bashing the redskins teams of my childhood FV.
Givin Vader crap:yes:

Maybe it's just my bitter hate for the Rats but I don't see them as a top 3 when talking all-time greatness. Not yet anyways.

also, and maybe vader or OWB can help me with this one, or just a very knowledgable NFL Historian. Aren't the '91 Skins one of only two teams to play over 10 teams that all won at least 10 games in one season?

They did survive when he went down...but that teams was not based around the QB, but instead of a heavy running game in Larry Csonka.

that was going to be my next question. Obviously if the 78 Steelers were before me, your Dolphins were. I didn't know Griese went down.

Yeah, Griese got hurt early in the season and was replaced by Earl Morrell for the rest of the season, but started in the Superbowl.

I think the Pats are most likely the best football team the NFL has ever seen. I know the running game is just OK and D is solid but can you name one NFL team who could beat this team 2 out of three? I still hate them:)

No way. The Colts are pretty good this year, but not all that great without several of their better players. Any of the greatest teams in NFL history would have smashed them.

I am not a Steelers fan. That said, the best team of my lifetime is unquestionably those 70s Steelers. Give them the weight room, training techniques, steroids, etc. that the modern players use, and they would probably pound these Patriots. You just can't be great and deep at every position any more like you could before the salary cap.

The Pats this year are NOT the best team of all time. They have one...and only one first ballot hall of famer. The 90's Cowboys have at least 4...Aikman, Sanders, Smith, Irvin. The 70's Steelers....Bradshaw, Harris, Stallworth, Greene, Ham, Lambert, Swann, Blount...and lets throw in Shell, Blier, Colquitt, Webster, and Greenwood and others for good measure.
