Vol Nation Community,

I come in peace and will introduce myself as someone who really enjoys getting to know another fan base, especially those in the SEC, prior to a bowl style game.

Been snooping around reading about the Vols on this site the last 24 hours and figured I’d make an account.

I grew up in Ohio but now live in NC (cue the go back to Ohio sayings). However, my mom’s whole side of the family is from the south. Her family moved up to Ohio for my grandpas job and she ended up meeting my dad at OSU. I’ve been a rabid fan of the Buckeyes since birth and graduated from OSU. Made a life decision and picked heading south for greener pastures for work post grad.

Have met quite a few TN fans & actually attended the NC St vs Tenn game in Charlotte this year.

I’m TBD on going to the game as it’s close to Christmas and have some other impt items to tend to. Last game I went to was the UGA Peach Bowl game. Might never recover from that loss but sitting field level behind the bench that had CJ Stroud and Marvin Harrison Jr was really cool.

If y’all have any questions on Columbus or OSU in general, I’ll do my best to help out. Looking fwd to friendly banter. Really cool that two historic programs can meet in this atmosphere. FYI - my dad was at the citrus bowl between Peyton and Eddie. Claims his feet are still damp to this day.

So how bad is OSU’s offensive line?

Started the season with medium expectations. Was very good until our LT tore his ACL and they started shuffling around various guards and tackles and inserting them wherever. Had like 165 yards rushing vs Oregon prior to him going down in the 2Q.

Started gelling together again then the starting C (finalist for Remington like y’all’s) tore his Achilles.

Recruiting and development has been the weak link at the O line position.

I would be shocked if we tried to run up the middle vs yall after the Michigan game and seeing yalls studs. We have had mild
Success running outside mainly bc of Tre and Judkins who are both RBs that will play on Sunday.

You’re not gonna believe this….. but we’re trying to do you a favor by getting Day fired. Thank us later.

My grandparents (dad’s side) are both from Columbus suburbs (Hyatts, Delaware) and most of that side of my family still live there. This one is special to me. When my grandparents moved here to Tennessee in ‘81, they became UT fans on top of still loving the Buckeyes. I never was an Ohio State fan but I definitely can’t fault them for why they were.

Good Luck with half these douchers, they make the rest of our fans look bad. I'm in the minority here, but I truly don't like our chances of winning. We've been very inconsistent on the road. If the Ohio St offense that played Oregon or Indiana shows up, it's gonna be a long night for us Vol fans. I hope we get the Michigan version. Thanks for coming onand introduceing yourself. Don't judge all Vol fans by the few classless, dumba$$es on here. Half our fanbase fights with each other more than opposing fanbase and just come off as ignorant, trailer trash. Congratulations on making the playoffs and looking forward to the game! Stay safe!

Welcome CB. Read a few post on Eleven Warriors regarding the CFP rankings/seeding sounds like we're on the same page....process fubar. Would have rather to have met you guys further into the bracket but it is what it is.

Surprised it's a the 8PM game this late in December. Know you guys love the noon spot. 😉

Ticket allotment for visitors is light, hate that, we travel well. Any hidden sources?

Welcome to Volnation!! The game should be in Knoxville.
Falling only four places after that loss to Michigan is the epitome of favoritism

81 was a good year. Got married in 81, 1981 not 1881, hardy har har.

Much appreciated. Trust me - I’m an Ohio State fan. Classless and dumbass explains half our fan base that tend to have the loudest mouths. I’ve stopped judging fan bases from online behavior and more so based on personal connections and sharing some beers or bourbon at a tailgate.

Unfortunately, the offense that played Oregon probably can’t exist w O line injuries, but I’m praying to God our defense remains tough and the offense can get the ball out of Jeremiah, EE, Tate, Judkins, and Trey.

In my opinion, this has like a 35-40 total points scored game written all over it.

I don’t necessarily disagree. I think they’re rewarding OSU for the IU and Penn State wins. I frankly don’t think either of those teams are great, but the rankings are what they are I suppose.

I live in NC so I wanted a game in Neyland more for my personal benefit and to see the stadium. I would’ve justified spending a fortune to come up to Knoxville.

A friend that I made about 10 years ago is from Ohio and a big OSU fan. He played college football so he’s respectful about it. Even when Urban was there and we had Botch, he was always never one to rub it in. He’s genuinely one of the best dudes you’d meet anywhere. And that’s why first thing this morning I called to tell him that while we may not win every game in the bracket 28-3, we would this game.

And I was also at the '96 game.
The whole time I was thinking "we are watching this year's and next year's Heisman Trophy winners."

Eleven warriors is awesome in the fact that they have legit X and O writers and deep analysis. However, the forums are filled w some mouth breathers. Tread lightly and take it all with a grain of salt.

While my tv in my office has Fox on most of the day, I cringe at the big noon kickoff. It’s not even the noon part - the production quality is just low. ESPN and cbs are much better, especially w the camera angles.

No real info. Have a few friends and family with season tickets. All of them are going / not selling. Best advice would be to shell out and go through ticket master or something. I frankly would rather go to this game than a neutral site game - get to take in a campus and tradition, etc.
