That's probably because he has no core ideology.

I think we all have a core ideology. However, for him I think it may relate to achievement and progress rather than principles that can be tied to traditional political parties. He may just be a power grabber, but I don't exactly see him that way.

I agree. At the core, I think he's a fan of capitalism but doesn't have a real social agenda. Can't image he'll pursue much of a social agenda but can see emphasis on economic growth
