It finally stopped raining. These are a few from the Baptist cemetery. I've done this since I moved here in 2001. I have always posted the battle flag, but someone has stolen them the past two years. So, I used national flags, assuming the morons wouldn't know what they are.

I will post the Methodist church tomorrow. The cemetery is behind the church, and is not visible from the street. So, I used the battle flag.

I was fortunate to be educated before history was revised to suit the current mood. My mother never went down town without a hat and gloves. It is both my duty and a matter of honor to do this small thing every April. Georgia celebrates Confederate Memorial Day on April 24. At least we used to.

when I was an undergrad, my fraternity (KA) always went to Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon to sing on Confederate Memorial Day. Scouts would put out flags on the however many hundred graves are there on the hillside and people would give talks and speeches. It wasn't a huge event but you could count on several hundred attendees even with bad weather. I guess the last time I did that was almost 30 years ago and I wonder if they even have an event anymore.
