This is the most attitude I've seen a Tennessee team have in years. They played their asses off, sure we got abused and beat on the line but that defense will knock your block off and Worley is one tough son of a *****. We got two weeks to get ready for Georgia and all the mistakes will be fixed. You can bash me or take my head off or whatever you please but team 118 can play with any team in the damn country. God its great to be a Tennessee Vol!!!

1) All the pieces aren't in place yet.
2) Thankful for where we are.
3) Make Yourself A Good Day - Make Yourself A Good Life.

I'm not getting how anyone can be negative about last night. I'm no sunshine pumper by any means, but to me I saw a game that you take away 2 costly interceptions, and we're in the game to the end. It could have (somewhat) easily been a 7 point game in the 4th quarter.

And if I'm comparing last night to last year's Oregon game, it was clearly a better UT team last night.

People need to stop making threads acting like they are in the minority for being proud of the team......almost everyone is proud, supports Butch, admires Worley, and like our defense. Overkill imo.

You are looking at it exactly the way I am.

Agreed.
I will say that I am pleasantly surprised at the low amount of negative posts today. There are a few but not the normal amount one would expect after a loss. Maybe, just maybe Volnation is learning?

What can be fixed during bye week: 1. Insert Evan Berry or Vic Wharton on kickoff return. 2. Insert Hurd as the starter at TB. 3. Saulsberry has got to play (get tough). 4. Stop calling Jet Sweeps against fast defenses inside the red zone.

We got beat by a more experienced team on their home field where they practically never lose.

I don't know why that should shock people. Also with the way that the rest of the SEC East played yesterday, I am more than happy to play them. There isn't a team in the East with a whole team as good as OU's. Yes Georgia and South Carolina can score points but apparently neither one can play defense against a good offense. Florida and Kentucky's game just goes to show that Kentucky is not to be underestimated. Like us they are very young but fought like a pack of wolves.

Florida looks weak on offense all to hell. One good wide out and one good running back. I would take Worley over Driskell any day of the week.

Missouri looks good but I don't know if they have really been tested yet.

My 2 cents

After the game was over last night, the fans started chanting "It's great to be a Tennessee Vol" as the team walked into the locker room. The fans have faith this team is something special and supported them until the clock hit 00:00 last night.

You might expect the fans to walk out of the stadium with their heads hung, but the vast majority seemed to know that even in a loss this team has taken great strides since last year.

Some of the problems cant be fixed in a bye week.

True, but the coaches have a better idea of the character of the team from having traveled to a hostile environment where they played a very good team. The Vols got to measure themselves against a ranked opponent. This will hopefully help when we begin conference play against teams with more depth and experience.

We still need to do some more recruiting but I certainly am impressed with this teams determination to fight to the end. They have what it takes to be winners and they will in the years to come.

We need a QB of the future, punter, and help on both lines. The recruiting class looks to be addressing those needs. I don't believe in moral victories and a loss is loss but I do recognize effort and character and both were on display last night. They are learning to compete.

It may take 2 years

The O Linemen saw something last night they have never seen before and that is speed on a D line. On multiple plays I noticed our line firing off and looking up for their assignment and the assignment already two steps behind them. Those are high school mistakes and I suspect their technique will quickly improve going forward.

I agree with everything but the "we can play with any team in the country" part. Until our OLINE improves drastically, we don't belong on the same field with the top 5 teams in the country. Sad, but it's the truth.
