I believe we can play with any team in the country. Sure our OL is a weak link, but we were scheming around that last night -- not perfectly, but we did some things that worked and other things that were just lapses in execution by players other than OL. A lot of football yet to be played THIS season.

All I can say is just give it more time, that is so hard to say because it has been a tough stretch to say the least!!! But for the first time in 5 years I see light at the end of the tunnel and man is that light going to be bright in a couple of more years. #VFL

I'm not getting how anyone can be negative about last night. I'm no sunshine pumper by any means, but to me I saw a game that you take away 2 costly interceptions, and we're in the game to the end. It could have (somewhat) easily been a 7 point game in the 4th quarter.

And if I'm comparing last night to last year's Oregon game, it was clearly a better UT team last night.

Plus, I believe OU is better than last years Oregon team.

This is the most attitude I've seen a Tennessee team have in years. They played their asses off, sure we got abused and beat on the line but that defense will knock your block off and Worley is one tough son of a *****. We got two weeks to get ready for Georgia and all the mistakes will be fixed. You can bash me or take my head off or whatever you please but team 118 can play with any team in the damn country. God its great to be a Tennessee Vol!!!

your right the attitude is there, but the coaching isn't. takes more than attitude to win games. we are a 6-6 team at best and off to next year where i fear we will have the same problems.

After the game was over last night, the fans started chanting "It's great to be a Tennessee Vol" as the team walked into the locker room. The fans have faith this team is something special and supported them until the clock hit 00:00 last night.

You might expect the fans to walk out of the stadium with their heads hung, but the vast majority seemed to know that even in a loss this team has taken great strides since last year.

I have been over on the OU fan site and they were impressed by our fans. One of the BIG REASON'S WAS THE FANS STAYED TILL THE END OF THE GAME AND SUPPORTED THE TEAM. Also, they thought we were for the most part anyways a very classy fan base. It has impressed them because CBS had them thinking every SEC fan was a d!(&. I know the team had to be really appreciative of the fans staying even when the outcome was no longer in doubt. That has to so the team that the fans "get it." IT'S GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL.

We are miles ahead of where we were after the Oregon game last year...This team should beat Florida and get to at least 6-6 now.

Defensive coaching is awesome. I question what we are doing on kick returns. Mahoney is a good o line coach, but we need experience. I wonder about some OC play calls, but against one of the best Ds in the country at their house, well it's hard to say.

My thoughts exactly, I expected OU to easily score in the 40s and coast in the second half. The team played extremely hard throughout the game, never gave up, and often played with the sort of poise you see in juniors and seniors. We were threatening in the 4th quarter and that's not something many people expected.

I'm not a moral victory guy but with the number of young players we have it's hard to not have a little hope going into what seems like an open SEC east and for the future.

when it's 34-7 and they still had enough fight in them to block a field goal with 4 min left and not just lay down and let them have the easy points....I fell in love with this team and Butch Jones, little things like that is what makes you realize how bright the future is.

People need to stop making threads acting like they are in the minority for being proud of the team......almost everyone is proud, supports Butch, admires Worley, and like our defense. Overkill imo.

Attention whores can't help themselves
