I don't get the confidence in Tennessee beating Florida

This feels like a much bigger game for Heupel than maybe it should be. He’s in zero danger of any job status this season. But, a loss at home to this gators team will polarize the fan base into 2 almost equal camps.

I will give up on Heupel if he loses tonight. I have said this in other threads: that doesn’t mean fire him, but I would give up on him bringing us to a championship level. He would need to pull upsets to get back in good graces.

Year 4, 5* highly touted QB surrounded by guys who have been in the system for multiple years should equal better offensive output than that.

Credit to him and Banks for trotting out a good D though.

Your first paragraph is exactly what I think could be said of half the fanbase. Heupel goes from everybody’s on the wagon just a couple weeks ago to half the fanbase just won’t believe he’s going to get it done. And if you don’t beat Florida today, you aren’t likely beating bama next week.
