I Dont Think We Were Ever In It

Well, we would've taken him for sure but we've got guys that are still available that we had higher up on our board.

I'll take James over Stone anyday.

Here here! Stone would be a great project, but we already have one of those in Pair. Good luck james on your future college career, both academically, and athletically.

Its kinda sad when you cant get an instate all american to commit to you when your a rising program

You must have not been paying close attention. Even if Tennessee was dying to get him and he turned us down (whish is'nt the case), all of the great recruits this staff has brought in more than make up for one cat that got OWNED by elite talent in camp.

I've been hearing for a while that we are not as high on him 'for some reason'.

I'm not a coach and I don't know exactly what our coaches are looking for, but apparently he isn't exactly what our coaches are looking for.

It isn't hard to figure out. The kid has a lot of upside and a big frame, but looks very average against good competition. I haven't been impressed with him all year.

We just aren't high on him.

The kid honestly wants an elite education (which is very commendable)! There was an article a while back on him stating so! I think he's a Notre Dame or Vandy lock...

Bama seems to think they have him. And they seem high on him, unless there is another Stone that I don't know about.

6 is a good #, but remember we're losing 10 OL I believe, with graduates, transfers, and guys who were dismissed....so I don't think 7-8 in unthinkable.......but we'll see.......

You said 9 before and now 10. How are we losing 10 O-line this year? Jacques, Sullins, Sullins, Scott, and Vlad. McNeil as well but he didn't even play this year. That is 6, where are you getting 9-10? Who is transferring or getting dismissed? We have 4 committed. With Pair reaffirming his commitment, I don't think we lose any of those guys. We add Green and Cullens, maybe one other.

I think he is talking about people like Myers who left in the spring.

tackle James Stone (Nashville, Tenn./Maplewood) does not have Tennessee in his top five, ESPN affiliate Web site AuburnUndercover.com reports.

Maplewood coach Ralph Thompson said Stone's current top five includes Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame and Vanderbilt. Tennessee, while still in the mix, did not make his top group.

"I guess just by proximity they are still in there, but I don't think he feels comfortable there," Thompson said. "It is not the right fit for him. It is nothing against Tennessee, but he just doesn't feel comfortable there."

It was all those campers running over his azz this summer at UT's camp that made him uncomfortable!!!

I hope he goes to Vandy!!!! Then we'll see how uncomfortable the Vols make him! Jac abused him when they played earlier in the year!
