I guess u guys didn't read what the district attorney said. He said Boyd's record will be cleared and James Franklin had no involvement. I mean why would u educate yourself before commenting.

Right, he said that back in September, but there is a new court filing less than a week old. I hope the whole coaching staff fries. But by all means, keep taking up for them. You seem credible.

As far as the law is concerned he will be cleared after the trial. He is testifying for the prosecution. I don't like what he did but if he's cleared that's pretty much the end of it.

The end of it is the victim of the crimes he tried to help cover up will be forced to walk the same campus as him because he turned evidence for the state for a softer plea deal and since Franklin thinks he's valuable enough he will turn a blind eye.

This has been handled poorly, please don't insult your intelligence by continuing this argument.

How many criminals have played for the Vols over the years? This is the first time something like this has ever happened at Vandy.

That we know of. Seems they have been very good about using their private university status and not being subject to the freedom of information act.

So we've gone from handled it well......... charges will be dropped so that's pretty much the end of it..........to how many criminals have played for the VOLS?

Nice try but players kicked off the team are just that. If they suspended him that would be different, what they counted on was people losing interest and overlooking the guy walking the same campus as his victim while under football scholarship until he could testify and satisfy the terms of his deal to reduce his charges and get him back on the field.

Horrible message sent here, I'd say the same about Vol in the same situation. And the previous poster who mentioned Vanderbilt using their private status to hide is dead on, crimes like this can't be hidden. And Franklin has made further fanned the flames, he in particular and the University in general have handled this situation horribly.
