I genuinely hope we get OSU

Honestly, I'd rather us play Penn State. Ohio State is a genuinely talented team that just has a mental collapse whenever it plays Michigan. The circumstances would be different playing against us. They would be eager to bounce back and prove the Michigan game was just anomaly.

But, I get it. I feel like our program is receiving a bit of disrespect. I think everyone has the Tenneessee that showed up against Arkansas and struggled to score in the 1st half for a span of a month in their minds. But that was the Tennessee of October. What many aren't accounting for is the development of Nico the last few weeks of the season. In the month of November he has thrown for 11 TDs and only 1 INT. During that span he has averaged near 250 yards per game of total offense. So, I do think we have it in us to catch some opposing teams off guard.

Piss on bama. That said, seeing TN, bama, and uga crush the protected "cold weather teams " in their places would bring me great satisfaction. A rematch in the title game with uga and neutral officials would be excellent as well.
I’d be fine with the Gumps beating UGA yet again and having a TSIO rematch in the final. Beating them twice in one year would be almost as sweet as winning the championship itself.

I don’t care where the game is the game is played, I’m so tired of hearing about these 7 on 7 merchants. Give us some B12 or ACC refs, and let’s just smoke these frauds. 2 and half more weeks.

Honestly, winning the whole damn thing would be amazing, but more than anything I would love for our guys to smoke these clowns in Columbus since this committee has protected B10 teams all season.

We can end Day's OSU coaching tenure.

Could not agree more. Obviously would prefer to have a playoff game at Neyland but the whole cfp ranking and seeding system is such trash that I’d almost rather march into Columbus and absolutely dismantle the poster child for the big 10. Win by fiddy, end their season, get their coach fired, crush the fanbases’s hopes and dreams and watch them melt down JUST so it’s painfully obvious to everyone who watches college football how retarded it is to have 4 big 10 teams in + Boise st with a first round bye. I’m a little irritated with the system if you can’t tell. Kudos to the committee. Pretty sure that’s exactly what they wanted. 🤣

X up in Columbus is ablaze with reports of a players only meeting with Day. Supposedly players scuffling after the meeting.

Beating Ohio State would get more recognition Nationally than Penn State. Losing to anyone would be no fun and I don't want to see Alabama score a point against whomever they play and I hope their defense gives up 500 yards rushing. I HATE ALL THINGS ALABAMA!!!!!!!

If we beat them bad enough that Ryan Day is fired (knocking them out at all may be enough), half the OSU fanbase may adopt the Big Orange as their second team. 😂

Yep, Go Vols, Go Irish (if that’s how it shakes out).

I always prefer a home game and would love to see our first round game in Neyland. The economic impact that a home game has not only to the university, but to the entire city of Knoxville is amazing. Millions of dollars would flow into the area if we could only host.

It’s surprising some on here take Ohio state so lightly. They have the most talented roster in the country with impressive wire receivers. Michigan beat them but they’re Day’s kryptonite. It happens. Yes we can beat them but it will take our best game of the season for 60 minutes.
Yes, we can do it! I think it was the '95 Citrus bowl when OSU came to town with Heistman award winner Eddie George. I took the family to a rainy, cool day and witnessed the "Bill Duff Stuff" of George and a beautiful halftime show for the girls. Great day, and on that day, we were Cooper's Kryptonite. UT is 13 and 5 versus the Big 10.

It’s not difficult to follow what the committee is saying. Movement b/t Penn state and Ohio state would not be a huge deal. Both would have a home game. But here is part of the comment:

“And in his post-show news conference Tuesday night, Manuel, the Michigan athletic director, made it pretty clear that evaluations of teams that aren’t playing on Friday or Saturday aren’t going to change with a few more days of reflection, citing No. 7 Tennessee and No. 9 Indiana.
An extreme case where Georgia or Penn State lose

If this is the case then Clemson beats SMU then both Clemson and SMU will be in tournament because “evaluations of teams that aren’t playing on Friday or Saturday aren’t going to change with a few more days of reflection”

Bama is out if Clemson wins. (We know this is BS.) if SMU can move back to make room for bama then Penn state and Georgia can move back as well

I hope I’m wrong . . . But we have been a different team this year at home versus road games. I realize that’s the case for most if not all teams . . . But the difference in play level seemed to be a bigger gap for UT.

Not sure about the noise level at OSU . . . But the presnap penalties / dumb penalties on the road (admittedly also at home) are an issue.

Defense travels and a running game travels. We have both.

But my overall take is we will run into a buzz saw at OSU. They will be a mad football team out to prove they are not the sum of their loss to UM. The matchup has the feel of a statement game for OSU.

A home game for us and I think we win.

OSU won’t be any picnic. Would love to ease out of Columbus with a W though.
I really like our chances. We are playing with house money and Day will be fired if he looses. All the pressure will be on OSU and we just saw how they handle pressure at home. Day may not make it out of The Horseshoe alive when we win
