I get that CBJ inherited a steaming pile of crap and that it will take time to clean up.

I get that he needs to be given a chance.

I get that coaching changes have put us where we are today.

What I don't get is why it is not acceptable to be upset when our beloved Vols get humiliated 3 weeks in a row.

Do we need to fire the coach? No.
Do we need to bench seniors? I don't think that's our call.

CBJ is calling his players to a culture change from losing and the loser mentality to the winners mentality...a championship mentality.

So, I think we as fans need to change our attitude as well and stop making excuses, show some passion, be disappointed and upset as "heck" when we lose...but still support the team.
Losing sucks and it is ok to admit that and want better!

OP is obviously not a true vol fan. We must never pretend to GET IT. No one GETS IT but BUTCH! OP you may understand some things, but you don't GET IT! SHAME ON YOU!

I forgot that CBJ is the only one who gets it. Please replace all "get" in my post with "understand"

Where was the OP in the off-season? All we heard about was Butch gets it and that the team has fully bought in.

Which is it?

That was a 3-9 team last year. Huge jump.

let's ignore the fact that auburn recruited extremely well while all their losses piled up and this year's team was recruited largely by gus malzahn and, thus, fit his system. it is not a fair comparison, by any means. auburn is like 3 years removed from a national title and averaged a top 10 recruiting class over the past 4 years. tennessee was a dumpster fire, thanks to the coaching carousel.

According to rivals recruiting rankings:

2009
UT #10 and Auburn #19

2010
UT #9 and Auburn #4

2011
UT #13 and Auburn #7

2012
UT #17 and Auburn #10

So UT's average was roughly 12 and Auburn was 10. That beatdown last weekend didn't equate to a 2 place recruiting difference.

while i admit i thought there was a greater disparity between the two (the 2013 classes were ignored), i emphasized that tennessee was a dumpster fire due to the coaching carousel (which caused serious attrition, leaving the roster decimated).

Auburn hasn't exactly been stable since 2008.
