Far bigger fan in roundball than the pigskin so this is horrible. I'm dying over here. Anyone else prefer basketball over football and hate this time of the year?

I love all ut sports. I follow basketball a little bit, but football is king and will always be king.

No. I love Tenn bball and watch every game, but in honesty it can't touch football. The last few years have been great since we had a better bball team than football team (a chance to win something), but this year I think things will be back to normal. I am NOT looking forward to this potential sub .500 bball season.

Making this thread here is asking to get flamed.

And this is coming from someone who follows both fervently.

Yes. Always have been. But, it's not a wide margin. Love some football but like the game of basketball a little better.

I like basketball just fine, but how can you love that more than football when it comes to the Vols?

Yah I know football is king around here lol and I wasn't trying to get flamed but was curious if anyone preferred basketball over football like me. I love football too but I just get more hyped up during basketball season I guess. Things are sloooow this time of the year.

Truthfully, It's probably more personal. I use to dedicate Saturdays to my tv watching every game possible with my grandfather. He passed away last year before football season started and I really couldn't bring myself to watch much of it without it bothering me. Don't know if I'll ever go back to Neyland but I'm gonna watch a lot more this year than last.

+1 OP.

Football is great and we're all excited about the upcoming season, but basketball is king in our household. My father is from Indiana so to call it a way of life is pretty accurate.

Yep, hate football, love basketball. Luckily I like baseball the best so I have something to fill my time with. But I am getting pretty antsy, can't wait til the first exhibition game!
