i think Rammer Jammer meant Jamal Lewis, instead of Ray Lewis, either way, both are criminals, who got off too easy for the crimes they committed

every program has its thugs but youll'notice that the 3 you mentioned got in trouble after they left UT and as for johnson he is gone for being a moronic thug.

What did Antwan Stewart do? I thought he was injured? He's only a sophomore, so you 've got to at least give him some time to graduate?

FYI - everybody talks about the ones that don't graduate.... what about Kevin Burnette, who already has his degree.

Antwan Stewart was accused of rape (while a player at UT). Then detective Phil Fulmer got on the case and interviewed the girl and all of a sudden the DA dropped the charges. At least David Palmer was punished for what he did which was far less than rape. So don't talk to us about our players being let off the hook. Yes I was referring to Jamal Lewis and not Ray. Considering they are both convicted criminals you can see why I made a mistake. I know every school has their bad guys, but some more than others.

Last time I check this was the United States of America, where a person is innocent until proven guilty.

And... are you bammers going to try and bring Phil Fulmer into every post? Just because he has a 9-2 record vs Bama.

Welcome Tide Fan...

I would like to say last year I went to the Alabama UT game and I ws treated very well! I had a blast! I tailgated in rv by the quad surrounded by BAMAs and they pretty much took care of us with food and drink the whole time!

I hope all vol fans that go to the game keep up the good spirit and enjoy the competitiveness...

I live for college football!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beer, Grill, Fall, the sounds of crowds, the beat of the drums, SEC football!!!!!!!!!!

We will always have fans that show disrespect and bad mouth our teams. It's always great to know that their are fans out there with class.I have never minded a little smack talk but the way some people handle it is just crazy.Show some class and enjoy great college traditions.

Exactly. And thanks for the warm welcome! I've always been told to 'show some class'. Both our teams have won SEC and National Championships. that seperates us from a whole lot of other programs and we should act like we've been there before...'cos we have.

And i agree....not many things are better than good cold Beer, a hot Grill, Fall, the sounds of crowds, the beat of the drums, and SEC football! I would add to that list......

Cheerleaders! Woo-Hoo!

I've always felt that there is not one single sport in this country that cannot help but be significantly aided with the presence of pretty cheerleaders.

Well it was one of you guys who first brought up a conspiracy to let Palmer off the hook so I thought I would drop my own conspiracy in there and the reason that I brought up Fulmer is that he DID investigate the charges. With regards to the whole Fulmer thing I know what you guys think and you know what I think and I will leave it at that. Hopefully the truth will come out and if Fulmer has done nothing wrong then I hope it is revealed and vice versa. Oh and the 9-2 record against us is certainly something that he and the Vols should be proud of, my opinion of Fulmer is not shaped by what happens on the field.

Tidefan, I like your style sir.

Congrats on winning today! All things considered, it was a hard-fought game and a lot closer than I thought it would be. I'm very disappointed in some of the play-calling and a couple of blown assignments on our side. But at least I got to see a lot of pretty cheerleaders! Woo-Hoo!

Now, to concentrate on the World Series! :D

Thanks Tidefan. You should be proud of a nice effort today. Bama gave us all we could handle.

Again, this never gets old.

Funny, I, for some reason wanted to torture myself and read terdfans. Guess what? There's a link to this post and several replies about how dumb the "viles" are and other derogatory remarks about the Vols, our fans, and this board and staff in particular.

As my avatar states...SCREW 'EM!

Funny, they talk about how much of a rival that UT is NOT to them, and yet they talk about UT all year long.

I never really like the fact alabama and tennessee didnt end up in the SEC west. This was always are no. 1 rival before the conference split.

I know they didnt want to put Auburn, Alabama, and Tennessee in the West with LSU.

I still think LSU and Tennessee should have switched at the time.
When I was growing no rivalry even came close to the UT vs. Alabama.

But with Florida beating us out of the east so much it took a back seat to it. And now Georgia seems to be becoming our natural rival for the same reason.

I would have just loved to have met alabama in the third week of Oct playing for the SEC west champ.

I guess eventually we might get to the point where we can play in the SEC championship game.
