Yea it's pretty sick. You won't see me jump on it. If Conzo will let these guys play their game and get out of the way (unlike he did at Texas A&M) they'll win some games.

Yeah....umm. Pretty sure you have zero credibility.

Haha... that's so funny... making fun of special needs kids that have to ride the short yellow bus. You must sleep well at night.

We're actually just making fun of you. But if you indeed have special needs and ride the short yellow (aren't all buses yellow) bus...then yes. Either change your name or just admit (like me) we probably overreacted to Auburn hiring Pearl.

I have followed Coach Martin since he was a freshman at Purdue. He has never been an outwardly emotional guy. He is never going to run up and down the sidelines dancing. That's just not his make up. However, make no mistake, you don't become one of Gene Keady's all time favorite players by not having fire and intensity. Coach Martin is as tough as they come. You can knock him down, but you can't knock him out. Also, if you ask him, this win had nothing to do with him, and everything to do with the players and fans.

A lot of us don't realize it but stress and cancer directly coordinate to one another and since he is a cancer survivor I will bet that has a lot to do with his demeanor

You should have just used a picture of a child with mental retardation.... it would have been the same thing.

What adult "makes fun of" people anyways? What are you 7? Grow up.

Again... hope you sleep well tonight... smh

Most Vol fans should sleep well tonight - besides you and patrick, of course.

Ill sleep well for sure. Great win for the guys. Happy for the seniors. This forum is littered with congratulatory posts from me... After all... I am UT's#1Fan you know.

I wouldn't say that. I'm more excited for the players. The thing is that what if we make a special run in the tourney? The frustration with people is that if Martin can win 3--4 or more games (I wish), where was it in the last three regular seasons. It would almost be like discarding the regular season because all you gotta do is find a way in and them you decide to win. I'm still leaning against Cuonzo but right now he is 1-0 and I will be happy if we can go 7-0

Cope with it little Johnny. The regular season is nothing more than resume preparation and yes, in a conference that elects to send the conference tournament champion to the tourney, you can get in by the skin of your teeth. You can also do so by getting an at large via a "play-in" game. Really all that matters is that you get in, because that's when the season really starts. So yes, other than for resume purposes, albeit not the prettiest resume out there, it's enough to get the job done. Tourney > regular season = regular season is nullified and "discarded," less meaningful, pointless (and a plethora of other adjectives)

Quit looking for reasons Martin hasn't gotten the job done (he has by making the tourney) and enjoy the ride.

Obviously you didn't read the original post by me. All I'm saying is tht people are frustrated because with crappy regular seasons, we expect crappy postseasons. However, this was the best win I have seen for Martin in his three seasons. Not trashing anything.

Except that special ed is a character from the comedy central series crankyankers. If you fail to see the difference, I can't help you. Perhaps your Alabama roots run deeper than coach Pearl.

So funny now wanting to jump on the post season bandwagon. Good luck.

I give credit to Cuonzo. He showed me something last night. I'm retiring from bashing him directly. Still. Question his recruiting a little, but he should get an extension and raise.

A lot of people are ruling out next season long before we've even played a game. Let us get as far as we can this season then worry about the next one. I am not sure at all that next season will be such a bust. A lot of things must fall into place but they all could do so quite easily.
What I saw from Josh Richardson tonight and several times this season is that he can score points when he takes the lead to do so. He usually stands back and lets McRae and the inside game do most of it this season. I can see him being an All SEC type player next season when he will be a senior and more is expected of him. Then there is five star Hubbs? Can he play at this level? You would think he could and that gives us two really good players right there. Then you have Moore who can certainly improve over the summer and become a quality SEC player. Reese needs to get bigger and stronger if nothing else quality minutes off the bench.
I don't think Stokes is coming back. He made the comment in one of his last interviews that this is the last go around wanted to make the most of the opportunity.
You have to think that CCM will be looking to add a post player to the roster who can help immediately so he doesn't have to play freshmen in a starting role.
Then you have AJ what can he do to improve over the summer? He is a player you have to believe we need a lot of help from as a sophomore.
Point guard should be better. I know CCM is looking at point guards to add to the team. DeQuon Miller is one who could really make a difference. I really like Austin think he will help immediately. Cofer, Turman, and Cornish are guys that may be underrated all look great on film.
The next team could be close to the ability of this team if everything comes together hopefully CCM already has a plan for that to happen.

It looks like, at least for this year, that I'll have to shoot that bird in my backyard, pluck its feathers, and enjoy me some crow stew. Way to go coach and GO BIG ORANGE

If we don't at least give him an extension, I wonder if he'll be coaching somewhere else next year.

The irony of ironies. Tennessee "played their game" for the first 15 minutes last night, and got down by 12 points as a result. "Playing their game" reaults in bad defense, bad shot selection, and selfish basketball.

If you really believe CCM is the problem in that situation, you're clueless. He becomes the problem when he allows that kind of play to continue. He made adjustments at halftime, and they played a better brand of basketball in the second half, and won in OT.
