I heard a real coach tonight.

Exactly what I said. Their fans hold them to very high standards and he welcomes it.

You don't think Dooley realizes Tennessee fans hold them to a high standard and he realizes that?

Ahh, you mean the coach who's defense has been decimated by injuries but has still gotten better each week? I always thought championships were formed from excuses.

I don't post much, but this is flawed logic. In the NFL if someone gets injured just go sign a free agent who more than likely dominated in college, or bring in the backup, who once again, probably dominated in college. Comparing this to a college football team lacking depth and talent, then loosing more to injury doesn't make sense.

Tony Dungy was interviewing Mike Tomlin tonight before the game. Tomlin said "I like the fact our fans hold us to a very high standard and expect excellence".
What a concept...

Do you believe that Dooley thinks he can keep churning out these results and expect to keep his job?

So you want Dooley to try this coaching approach next...

Wow, I thought Peyton Manning coached that team. Didn't know Dungy really did anything except hold the clipboard and ask Peyton,"hey what are we gonna do next"?!

Yeah, I agree Dungy is a REAL coach, like all the other REAL coaches that don't give a crap about UT, and wouldn't consider it for $10 mil a year. Who wants the headaches?! I can't wait for Gruden to leave the absolute pinnacle of broadcasting, the MNF booth, so he can make less money to coach at UT. All those real coaches are lined up outside Neyland right now, just waiting on Dooley to fail. We'll have to get John Daniels to make some of those orange pants in a bigger waist size once Gruden gets here. Maybe we could hire his wife to coach the cheerleaders so he would have double the incentive.

No, people are mistaking being honest with being a negavol.

You're not being honest. You're being stupid. What in the hell does Mike Tomlin have to do with Tennessee? I'll tell you: nothing.

OP gets my stupid post of the day award. Trying to compare apples to oranges. I miss the part where a college coach can go out in the middle of the season and hire a replacement player for those lost to injury.
