I hope Barnes don’t say anything

That’s easy to say but it’s inexcusable to be put in that disadvantage to begin with

It’s really not that much difference. I’ve seen a lot of teams bitch about their seeding and go home the first weekend. You change the focus of your team if you spend the week complaining. And the media will bring it up every chance to you & your players if you let them. Focus on the games.

Ao you’re telling me teams who it’s rigged against lose and so it’s their own fault?

I hope he says something. And I think he will. He doesn’t have to raise cane by any means, but three hours ago he made a comment arguing about why we should be a #1 seed and now we’re the #2 3-seed. That’s horse ****. He knows it. We know it. He should say something.

I agree.

It’s probably unlikely considering Barnes is usually classy about his comments but this is one of these situations that I wouldn’t be worried about making a fool of yourself in.

Barnes is old school and has done this forever so he'll probably say we have to win no matter who we play.

But I doubt there is enough "noise" for us to make to ever take over a blue blood like Duke or UK.

They obviously set the brackets before the tournaments begin. If thats the case they should post them so we know the score. They have everyone thinking they are playing for increased seeding when its actually just to see which unseeded teams win an automatic bid.

Don’t lie down and take it. White needs to speak out. The committee are the ones who proclaimed all these metrics they’d be using to guide their decision and there isn’t a single one which explains being any less than a two. So they deserve to be called out if they’re not even following their own supposed guidelines. Force them to explain themselves. They’re the ones who supposedly want to be more transparent. Which was their justification for releasing and early top 16. Turns out it’s just a big dog and pony show

Is it a disadvantage though? I like our matchups through the sweet 16. Yeah the elite 8 will be tough but it IS the elite 8, its going to be tough no matter what.

I just hope we haven't peaked too early and can sustain the level of play we are playing at now. If we can sustain that level we will be in the final 4. Seeds be damned.

It’s inexplicable that 2 Top 5 wins AND an SECT title and only one loss on the road to a 4-seed in Arkansas equates to moving up only ONE spot from February 19th. I’m done predicting any of our seeding in the near future because their own metric, the NET, and the quadrant system is pointless now.

I predict CRB will say “I don’t understand the committee seeding as based on the criteria they’ve shared I think our resume is stronger than some of the teams above us. But its a tough job and we have to play whoever is put in our bracket. That’s what we control and we can’t be distracted by what we can’t control so we’re going to work hard to prepare our best for our next opponent.”

Yes being a 3 seed is inherently at a disadvantage to being a 2

It’s totally fair game to question why the committee seemingly threw away all the metrics they themselves introduced to guide their decisions. Let’s remember the selection committee are Danny white’s peers. If they are beyond reproach like some on here seem to act like then he needs to have something to say about it

My football coach used to tell us not to talk during pregame. Let your shoulder pads do the talking. The silence intimidated some teams we played.

But once the whistle blew we brought hell with us. That’s what I vote we do.
