We have been to GB several times, and seen many of the tourist sites. We went just before harry and Megan got married and visited the cathedral(St Charles, Edinburgh) where they got married. It was interesting to see the inside again during the ceremony.
The Least liked tourist site was Stonehenge. Stone cirles are all over in GB.

I’d like to get back to England some day. I’ve only been to Canterbury.

Did you go to the Canterbury Cathedral?
We stayed at the Cathedral Gate Hotel located next to the Cathedral It was built about 1438. Columbus sailed to America in 1492, I think.
I friend prefer Premier Inn which is like a Holiday Inn in the US. There are about 800 of them in England.

Battersea Power Station would be on my must visit list. The Isle of Wight festival sites as well.
LOL, I wonder why.
How did you come to choose that picture? Well PF, Animals? I knew I had seen those stacks about a million times.

Ha, the price is wight for the festival. You Into those British bands?

My lady is in love with all things Great Britain from TV shows to the landmarks and culture. It might be somewhere we'll go in the distant future. Getting me on a plane is going to be a challenge (have a fear of heights and not in control) ,but if we're able to afford it and go,I'd do it for her. Ireland is another place I'd love to go to.

I like history and especially mid 60s/late 60s through 1970s R&R. I was too young to catch anything live until the late 1970s (except for the Santana/Clapton concert at the Knoxville CC around 1975 that my sister let me tag along to).

I’d just like to see the Isle of Wight locations. Not likely to be interested in a current show. The spot(s) are hard to nail down on the Google satellite map. Also would like to see Yasgur’s Farm and Altamont. The NYC venues and sites (the Brill Building). Abbey Road Studio.

My wife and I used to buy a refridgerator magnet almost every place we visited.(All gift shops sell them). Then we bought a stainless fridge. Now We only have a small space on one side to put our magnets. We still buy them though.

Was in London for about six weeks earlier this year, and stayed about a ten minute walk from there. It’s quite impressive, but FYI, the interior has been completely gutted and repurposed as a mall (second picture). There was a nice Christmas market out in front of it along the river, and they even have a Willy Wonka style glass elevator that will take you to the top of one of the stacks. You can barely see it sticking out of the one closest to me in the first picture. IMG_2543.jpegIMG_2540.jpeg

Actually I was 1 YO the last time this happened 1953. I don't really know what to expect, but No I don't care for the ceromonies. I'm more interested in seeing structures and sceanery that I've seen while visiting. We just don't have "old" in the US.
All I've seen so far is a choir singing (boring to me) in Westminster Abby and the King walk in wearing a fancy robe and wearing a crown.
But Westminster Abby is a beautiful structure.
Wife will likely be watching much of the day.

I checked out the website about a year ago with Battersea condos for sale. Lots of open space (parks) in that area. I wouldn’t mind living there.
