Was there in 9th grade. We made a loop in a caravan up the east side to Edinbrough, up to Loch Ness, down to Glasgow, into Wales though I remember little of it, to Dover and Calais, Fr., back thru London for a quickis of tourist sights, and to a dinner of nasty mutton at Cambridge where my dad stayed for a meeting while we flew home to catch up on missing first week of school.

Loch Ness was pretty, but the monster wasn't out the day we went.
Ha, The food. They aren't really known for their food, but the fish and chips are great except they are often served with mushy green peas that we don't care for. We typically eat French, Italian, etc.
WE enjoy the British Museum in London. Looking at all the things they have looted from around the world.

Man. The mushy peas are great. But I guess you have to like green peas first. The Bull & Thistle on the square in Gainesboro is a great restaurant and caters to the Britich/Scottish pub fare, plus other fine dining. Their fish & chips is great and traditional and has the mash peas.

I like american small fresh or frozen green peas.
The ones in GB are large and dried.
You might be able to buy the garden seed for "marrowfats".
I usually eat about 2 bites with my fish before totally concentrating on the fish and chips.
