We may not play great all the time ,but here in the last couple of weeks we have found a way to win. I think Martin has brought some toughness to this program and we have a great future! GO VOLS!!!

Dooley needs to take a hint from Cuonzo and learn to make halftime adjustments.

Coach Martin: Improves team after halftime.
Dooley: Gets our hopes up by close first half, but game quickly turns into a blowout.

I love that when we come out of a timeout it looks like we have a play drawn up that when executed puts us in a chance to score... nice change

Man crush for CCM. What a turnaround. Love the D and rebounding. The trust the players have in each other is refreshing.

For accuracy, we called 2 TO's in the final possessions of regulation and got two horrible shots.

I will be the first to admit that I had my doubts...but the late-season run has me very excited about the future of the program. Kudos to coach CM and the team for a gutty win tonight.

I agree. Hopefully Dooley can get it done this year, I really want to have a successful football and basketball program!

I said it once and I will say it again. Martin is a baller. He will let you talk. He will prove his point on the floor. I could see it in his eyes. He's a winner. Lookout NCAA.

Great second half. The whole team gets credit. If youre second in the sec, do you not make the big tournament.

I blame Maymon for the final. That ball was suppose to inside to Stokes and he called it off for a dumb isolation play.

Yeah I agree, it comes down to the players not taking bad shots and Maymons shot was a bad one. But oh well we got the W and thats all that matters! :rock:

I haven't seen a Tennessee team play with that kind of toughness in my lifetime. I love Pearl, but I've seen his teams fall behind and hang their head too many times. CCM teams don't quit. I'm thrilled with this hire. We probably don't make the tourney, but we've seen more than enough to know the future is bright.

Yeah, I saw that too. Play wasn't set up well though and took too long. Seems like we had a guy in the corner. If he would have cleared to the other side, Stokes would have been able to get the ball. I don't think he felt comfortable where to post or which hip to pin the guy on.

There was still some time for Maymon to pass back out and get a pick-n-roll with Trae. Actually Jarnell flashed high post, had some room, and should have passed it to him for a clear out.

I don't mind the iso for Jeronne. It's where he started that was bad.

I only hope that Martin doesn't underachieve. I could be wrong, but it seems like he has the qualities to potentially be an elite coach. I hope it happens, and I hope it happens with us. Can't wait to see what he can do next season. GO VOLS!!

It's obvious he can coach. Now he just needs to recruit, recruit, recruit...

and going by the fact he brought in stokes with only about 6 months worth of work...

and the guys he's in on for '13...

he can recruit. personally, im not the least bit worried about his recruiting ability.

I just don't see how you can feasibly leave out the 2nd place team in a big-6 conference, especially when Vandy and UF are shoe-ins despite possibly finishing behind us. Hell, they even said MSU is in according to Lunardi (which doesn't mean much) and they're 6-8 in conference.

If we're 3-1 vs UF and Vandy, plus the schedule we've played (unfortunately Pitt and UConn haven't lived up to their billing) and are left out I'd love to hear the committee's explanation. We can't afford to be 1 and done in the SEC tourney though.
