lol. He's eating a pizza. Can I come to your house OP, take a picture of you eating a pizza and then laugh at you? I'm not defending Meyer, but he's just eating a freaking pizza.

No Riff-Raff allowed in my neighborhood...sorry...

Imo, OP doesn't miss an episode of TMZ.

Wasn't the source...

And I bet you don't miss ANY of those housewives shows...do you Ma'am?

I don't get the hate for him on here. I guess it's because he owned us while he was at Florida.

The guy is a total scumbag. If any of you saw his post-game press conference where he read off a sheet you wouldn't need any other explanation. He has absolutely no humility, he's a giant sore-loser and acts like a giant baby when things dont go his way.

Go watch Pinkel's post-loss presser and compare it to Meyer.

He wins when he has Mullen/Strong as coordinators, a once in a generation player, or plays cupcake teams.

His teams are a disaster otherwise, and he gives up when he knows there will be an actual challenge to his "greatness".

He's a narcissistic scumbag as far as I'm concerned and wouldn't want him coaching a UT team unless we get one of the 3 qualifiers above with him.

As a human being, I've not heard many good things about Urban Meyer. However, as a football coach, one thing I like about his teams is his players rarely run out of bounds to avoid hits. Watch tOSU, watch old Florida film: his players will cut back in and will fight for every last inch. That is good coaching.

The off the field stuff, the discipline problems. That is a leadership issue. Most of the time, coaching and leadership go hand-in-hand, but not always. Some good coaches are poor leaders (see Mangino, Leach, Roy Williams, Pete Carroll, etc.) I'd put Urban Meyer in that class. Would I want him at UT? It's tough. I'd want the wins; but, it seems that eventually, the lack of discipline catches up to the programs.

There's a reason it's called The Fulmer Cup. We have no shame in "lack of discipline" throughout the years.

That was one thing I never liked about Fulmer. It never failed that we would have some kind of off the field problems every season.

I bet he ordered that pizza with light cheese. Not sure why, but it seems like the wussy thing to do.

Did Walter Camp ever win a Walter Camp? Did Heisman ever win a Heisman?

Meh... I only recall one really bad offseason of discipline problems (04-05) otherwise we kicked players off at the same clip as any other program during his tenure. It happens. Bama had a couple players in a robbing spree last spring but I'm not ready to throw Saban under the bus for lack of discipline.

FL under Meyer on the other hand, had a revolving door and a history of letting kids play when Fulmer, Richt, Saban, or any other coach would have suspended them. The stuff that's coming out about Hernandez that got swept under the rug while at FL is very telling. He wasn't going to do anything about double barreled bird boy until the media backlash finally caught up with him on the Friday before the game (how many snaps did the kid end up missing?). I honestly don't know how he can sit in a recruits living room and tell parents he develops their little Johnnies into upstanding young men with a straight face.
