It's been 50 years since anyone has had a undefeated regular season in college basketball. It's just the nature of the sport.

Even the 96 Bulls lost some games.

You are correct. I totally missed that one. Still,only once since 1976. So it is pretty rare.

We missed another one...the 90-91 UNLV team was undefeated until the finals when they lost to Duke.

The article I read counted the tournament apparently. The Hoosiers were the last to do it and actually win the national title.

The basketball team has shown an inordinate ability to lay a couple of stinkers every season. This was one of them. Let’s hope another one isn’t excreted in mid to late March

Pretty much all teams have a few bad games. Even the great ones. It’s all about peaking at the right time. One loss and your out in March.GBO

I despise the “I wanna be the underdog” attitude. Really? Hell, I want to be #1, defending champions, etc. I want everyone’s best shot. Beating someone when they underestimated you doesn’t mean you are better. Beating someone when they wanted it so bad they could taste it is satisfying.

Teams like the Yankees, etc live with that and embrace it. Strive to be the best. If you want to live life as an underdog, this world will accommodate you.
