You'll regret it from Jan 20-September 1. Only so much college football left...can't believe it has gone by this fast.

I'm watching it for the sole reason of a chance of seeing thousands of crying Auburn fans.

That is not the way the rule reads in this situation and you have been listening to bammers tell you what to believe....
the ncaa said HE WAS ELIGIBLE...the provision does not include ineligibility for NO BENEFITS CHANGING HANDS>

and will not watch the BCSNC if Auburn makes it. As per the SEC rules, a player is ineligible if it is found a guardian or parent tried to solicit money from a school.

According to these rules, Cam Newton is inelible. The NCAA ruled that his father solicited money from MSU.

I am going to watch them both, praying for Auburn to go down, but I really like your stance on the matter.

"If at any time before or after matriculation in a member institution a student-athlete or any member of his/her family receives or agrees to receive, directly or indirectly, any aid or assistance beyond or in addition to that permitted by the Bylaws of this Conference (except such aid or assistance as such student-athlete may receive from those persons on whom the student is naturally or legally dependent for support), such student- athlete shall be ineligible for competition in any intercollegiate sport within the Conference for the remainder of his/her college career"

Where does it say money HAS to change hands?

Clue

Yeah, just the simple act of siliciting funds by his dad renders him ineligible...if you go by the rules.

Of course, the question of the year is, how did his dad convince him to go to the barn without Cam knowing about the naughty?

How could you not watch?

..even if the barners win, they will eventually get the equivalent of a spike piledriver off the top rope for Newton's participation.

I don't understand why there is so much Auburn hate/SC Love... An enemy of my enemy is my friend. Anything that pisses the "Roll Tard" Nation off makes me happy.

Last year I didn't watch because of hatred for both teams. This year I'll probably watch, but I just don't care about this game.
