Is it not?
You don't think, as it sits, this is his worst team since he has been at UK?
Yeah, Florida. They return Young, Boynton, Murphy, Rosario, Yeguette, and replace Beal with Braxton Ogbueze and Michael Frazier. Neither is as good as Beal, but together cam soften the blow at the SG spot. Rosario is a better "point" guard than Walker, provided he can stay healthy.
The only reason I didn't include Missouri is because I'm not sure whether or not they will play UK at Rupp. Should they though, they are another team that could challenge UK for the conference and potentially defeat UK at Rupp. UT has too many holes, particularly at the guard spots for me to blindly predict them to challenge even Cal's most unproven team for the conference or a win at Rupp. Until we find someone that can create their own shot and take the ball to the hole from the perimeter, we will be impossible to predict.
"Most unproven" would have been a better description. Calling them anything else at this point is premature. For all we know, they could end up being the most accomplished of all his teams. I think your bias/hatred for Cal and UK cloud your judgement about the two occasionally.
UF lost a lottery pick in Beal and a 3 year starter at PG, finished the regular season by losing 3 straight, and 5 of their last 8, went a combined 2-6 VS UK, UT, Vandy and Bama, has gone 1-8 vs Kentucky since Calipari has been there, and they have solid but not superstars coming in as frosh, plays suspect defense and basically lives and dies by the 3 pt shot. But you feel ok thinking they win at Rupp but you cannot pick UT because they have too many holes to fill? OK.
I didn't realize I picked Florida to win at Rupp, hands down.
