Would be an interesting hire. The move from the BE to the BIG12 accounts for some of the growing pains I think. Had wins over Baylor and Texas this year and won 10 games last year. IF he had the funding to hire a top notch DC & staff, I think he would be a good option. Makes 2.3 million a year. He would be a guy I would offer 2.5 million + 3.5 for a staff and tell him IF he wins early, we will talk about a negotiation on salary.

As well as losing Casteel and swapping to a front 7 away from nickel. A lot of stuff he couldn't really control. I'm a big fan. He took the AR/TFS framework and started adding diamond sets and pass/run reads built-in to plays. Does all sorts of innovative stuff IMO. As stated in some other threads, I've been for him since he was at Houston/Stillwater. He has some interesting stories at his Franklin clinics.

That said, haven't heard anything coming out of Morgantown. Too much schematic advantage he has to prepare for this weekend.

I'm hearing that Dana Holgorsen from West Virginia is coming to TN. That is what a die hard WV alum is telling me. I pray it's BS. He just signed an extension with WV. Anyone hear this from anyone else?:eek:hmy:

That's just a WV fan being hopeful.

If Gruden falls through, then Patterson falls through, I wouldn't mind his name being thrown in there. His offense is Oregon good. He would have to throw the checkbook at a top name DC, and this could work.

Asiantii Woulard won the ESPN Elite 11 (beating our current commit, Riley Ferguson) and really likes UT....but doesn't have an offer. He would look really good in Holgerson's offense. Even Peterman would work well, too.

We disagree about Tressel, but I agree on this. In fact, his team was smoking hot until they got upset by Texas Tech. And they just smashed Clemson in the ACC CG last year. Beat them so bad, it got Kevin Steele fired.

They played Clemson in a BCS bowl. West Virginia was in the big east last year not ACC. I think it would be a interesting hire to say the least. He's a great offensive guy that's for sure
