I See Improvement In Worley

Coaches are fired ALL THE TIME...so don't assume that coaches' decision-making is utterly infallible. It's so fallible that it's one of the most volatile professions there is.

Just because a coach is too scared to play a true freshman over a Junior, it doesn't mean it's the right decision. They aren't given the opportunity Worley has, in practice, to show their merit. CBJ even said himself, with
them....it is the UNKNOWN. This means HE DOES NOT KNOW. Following me, here? He does NOT know they are worse. He's just afraid to find out.
How much money do you make coaching? So yes I trust his decision more then your opinion

What part of HE DOES NOT KNOW don't you get? You keep making assumptions that HE DOES KNOW....despite him saying he doesn't. He stated before the USA game that playing one of the freshmen is something he doesn't want to do because of the....wait for it....wait for it...the UNKNOWN.

One more time, just to try and penetrate that thick skull...he's not playing the freshmen because he is afraid of the the UNKNOWN. He does not know enough of them to play them. It's not the same as saying they suck worse than Worley.

So the guy who's not doing the internet's version of yelling at someone else while refusing to listen or consider what the other person is saying, is the one with the thick skull?

Ok.

even so. is Worley gonna be our qb next year?

if so, keep him in. if not let one of the young guys play

Why? R/S Dobbs, and we'll have him for 4 years. Play him now, and how much will our season improve? Butch will get some help on the O-line (hopefully), and the receivers will be getting experience. Everyone will be better next year.

I know this is really hard for some to believe, but I would bet that we are NOT gonna win the NC this year... or the SEC East. Just goin out on a limb.....

Ask Lane Kiffin how infallible a coach's decisions are?

I am not arguing that college coaches are always right. I am arguing that you have zero credentials to engage him in debate seeing how he sees them every day and is a paid professional. In fact has been a paid professional by several institutions. I would take Kiffin's opinion on football related issues with a million times the weight of your opinion. Oh the fact that you played high school is not relevant

When he gets time and someone to throw to his throws are absolutely beautiful. He is smart with the ball and is mentally strong. Every once in a while drives will get some rhythm and life and you can see the possibilities. He will be good next year.

He never said they suck worse than Worley. We all know it's tough for a true freshman, but when you have a non-SEC caliber QB mucking things up, what other option do you have?

Butch says he doesn't know what he has, and that's enough to not play them. Not knowing is not the same as saying they aren't a better option. It says you aren't willing to put them in a GAME to find out.

He is also on the record as saying you DON'T KNOW until you play in a game. So, those of you who keep assuming the freshmen are sucking in practice don't know your arse from a hole in the ground.

who's to say dobbs is even the QB next year? how are we getting help on the o-line. were losing 5 all-pro NFL linemen after this year(sarcasm intended). I do realize were not gonna win anything this year which emphasizes my point even more. if Worley is our guy for NEXT YEAR play him. if not, let a freshman get their feet wet.

all you've heard form butch this year is how none of our guys have GAME experience. if this season is a wash. let them get some GAME experience. jmo

a) No one's saying they're sucking in practice or that they suck; they're saying they clearly haven't been playing well enough in practice (or showing what one needs to see them do in an actual game) to usurp him as the starting QB

So where did he said he was afraid to play them because of the unknown?

Welcome to the interwebs, genius. This is what forums are for. We opine on what we see.

Coaches are not beyond reproach simply because it's their profession. I like Butch so far, but I am not going to automatically consider every choice they make unquestionable. I don't think it's an easy decision, but when you have no other option, I personally think you might as well get your future started now....not kick it down the road another year.

Everyone wanted crompton out up till this point also and how did that turn out. Worley and the freshman receivers are coming together now and you can see it in the play.

This Game is Worley's to win. If he pulls it off a lot of people need to slap him on the back and give him some high fives... as well as a public apology for acting like children.
