I still can't trust CCM though...

This is more about the entire time CCM has been here.

I haven't really seen any progress with HIS program.

Then I suggest opening your eyes.

Year 1: Regular Season 18-13, opening game loss in SECT, NIT

Year 2: Regular season 19-11, 1 win SECT, NIT

Year 3: Regular season 20-11, 1 win SECT (TBD), NCAAT appearance

Year 4: See year 1 results, and I'm being optimistic. His take any recruit that shows interest approach finally catches up to him.

IMHO, The Vols can beat UF, they must play their best especially at the point guard position. They have to keep the same intensity on defense their entire game and hold UF under 60 points.

No doubt CCM has bought himself another. I'm with this, but I still believe it's just delaying the inevitable. Remember, just 3 weeks ago there wasn't a person on here that said they wanted cuonzo to stay when I made a thread asking if there were any supporters left.

That being said, congrats to vols and coaches...it feels so darn good to be in the tourney. Only sweat involved on Sunday will be about where we seed, not whether or not we'll make it in

Yes there was.

Would be a fantastic season to me if we could beat the #1 Gators, end their win streak, then, knock off Kentucky (if they make it) in the SEC final. Maybe I'm asking too much.

I haven't really seen any progress with HIS program. We've still have relied on the majority of Pearl recruits. And we are constantly "sweating it out" towards the end of our season.

Maybe I want more out of CCM than other fans. Maybe I have higher expectations.

Have we been in the top 25 since he's been here? And if so, when and what was our highest ranking?

I'm glad we are winning right now, but looking into the future scares me everyday.

The "majority of Pearl recruits"...like the two left on the team?

I think CCM learned a valuable lesson this season , HE HAS TO KEEP HIS PLAYERS MOTIVATED. I don't think he really put a lot into that until late in the season . Hopefully that is something he will carry forward into next season , because it's been a problem throughout his tenure here

Shouldn't he have learned that the last 3 years?

or was just as simple as that our opponents were just terrible teams?

It's this. Mississippi State is the worst team in the conference, South Carolina is the second worst, Auburn's the third worst, and Vanderbilt is I think fifth -- all with losing records. Missouri was a better win, as they actually have a winning record compared to the other teams, but they're not world beaters or anything. We basically beat up the bottom of the SEC to finish the year.

I consider Jarnell Stokes a Pearl "recruit". Cuonzo did great sealing the deal, but he never "recruited" him.

Pearl and company had REALLY good evaluations on how kids would develop. I'm still "iffy" on CCM's judgements.

Next year will be when he has all his "recruits".

90% of players go to school's for the coaching staff and tradition. So for us to beat out UK and Memphis for Stokes, I think Martin had a little bit more to do with it then that.

I have been critical of CCM all season, but I have never wanted the Vols to lose. I have always believed he was a high character guy. IMO Four factors stand out in the recent winning streak:
1. Better on ball defense by the guards. 2. More favorable schedule. 3. Lettiing Armani Moore play. 4. CCM has shown more passion

I do not understand why the staff waited all year to let AM play significant minutes. He brings a new energy on both ends of the court. His athleticism brings a missing element to our team. There may be reasons why AM did not play in earlier games that are unknown to us (ie - discipline, school related), but the failure to let him play enough minutes to get into the flow of the games almost cost this staff their jobs. Passionless basketball is boring basketball whether it be on offense or defense. I believe AM has been a major contributor on both ends of the floor and has been a real difference maker during the past three weeks.

Better point guard play, too

It also helped that neither of those schools had a scholarship to give at the time.
