No it won't.
This isn't Peyton.
They are treating Hendon entirely different.
Y'all are underselling his popularity BIGTIME.
This ain't 1997...
This dude has a huge following
I liked your post but also laughed at it. Idk that Heisman voters actually watch the games.CJ Stroud of Ohio State, Hendon's main competition for the little bronze trophy, looked positively lost and confused a couple of times in today's win over Penn State. Just a couple of times, but in those plays he did not appear to be in command.
He also did not do well with time management...lost the play clock. Gave his team a couple of delay of game penalties.
And some of his throws were beautiful, but others were placed awkwardly for his receivers.
Don't mean to over-state the case--he's still a VERY good QB, and did a great job for his team overall, today.
But he sure didn't look as in command, as situationally aware, or as ... just ... talented ... as Hendon looks almost every week.
Let's see how Hendon does tonight; he could sway some voters this weekend.
Go Vols!
Historically you may be right. At this moment in time though, ESPN is HEAVILY invested in the SEC. Not so much in the B10.
You may see things reversed.
Stroud3 Int2022 stats through today.
Hendon Hooker
156-219-2338 21tds 1 int
338 yards rushing 4 touchdowns
2672 total yards, 25 total touchdowns
C.J. Stroud
159-223-2377 29 touchdowns
-4 yards rushing 0 touchdowns
2372 total yards 29 touchdowns
So Stroud, vs a much lesser schedule has exactly 300 fewer total yards than Hooker. 3 more interceptions and only 4 more total touchdowns, which was his calling card early on. Hooker should be pulling away from Stroud at this point.
