I think I actually do want SC to beat Clemson this weekend

Clemson is a much bigger threat to recruiting.

By South Carolina standards, that’s not just a good season, that’s an “upper tier of their program’s history” season. Fun fact: South Carolina has won 8 or more games 14 times in their entire program’s history. By comparison, we’ve accomplished that 58 times in our program’s history.

I guess my point is, when we look back on this game, it will be a much easier pill to swallow if at the end of the day it was a team that ranks as one the 15 best South Carolina teams of all time, who got really hot at the end of the year and beat two Top 10 teams, rather than the absolute trash football team we perceive them as right now at this very moment.

It definitely will bode well for Tennessee and makes the loss more acceptable. We have to beat Vandy in heavy rain tomorrow for that to matter much. I had our ceiling as being 9 wins because our backfield and was concerned about depth at LB at the beginning of the season, so I'm trying to hold onto that. I did not think 2 losses would be at the hands of SC and Vandy though. I think we destroy Vandy with a healthy Hooker, but if bazooka arm Joe puts the mustard on every throw in the rain, we could be trouble. Let's just hope ND beats USC, Oregon loses to Oregon St., Washington loses to Washington St., OH St destroys Michigan, Penn St loses to Michigan St., Auburn beats Bama, TCU loses to Iowa St., UNC loses to whoever they play and then we have a chance at being in the playoffs 😂😂😂

Glad your not a coach or player!! We still have Vandy and a top tier bowl game to play! Best season since 2001 if we can finish 10-2 and a chance of being 11-2 overall with a bowl victory! I hated the loss (actually embarrassed) but I am DAMN proud of the turn around this staff and roster has made in 2 years! De fee now needs some dudes on the back end and we will all be happy! Dline has masked the lack of production on the backend all year and for some reason they couldn’t get pressure Saturday nite and a rattler had all day to throw and he exposed the lack of talent n speed! Great season so far and we have a bright future! Be grateful for what we have and where we come from!!

Just not disrespected the Vols. The Vols destroy LSU at home and it’s a bump in the road media wise especially ESPN. We have a bad night and our own conference belittles use especially ESPN. Like I said…let’s go Clemson,Louisville,Georgia Tech,Auburn and Texas A&M. Also one for the little cry baby Herbie….go Big Blue! Have a nice day Pappy.

They had their backups in where your gamecocks had Rat throwing to 1s till the end. And there is no link with Hueple saying he was going for style points . If he was he’d left Hooker and first teamers in like Beamer did you’re making it up as you go.

I would love to watch Clemson lay the wood to South Carolina but no way I can take them referencing the Tennessee game over and over. It was nightmarish enough watching it unfold.

i think most can handle losing to SC just not in the dramatic fashion that beat long-standing 27 year old unflattering records like the loss to the 95 Gators when we lead at half time with Manning at the helm.

especially when we have a top 5 offense and it appeared to the casual fan that the defense quit trying or never tried at all.

Just had a pick 6. Look at Clemson’s talent on defense Tons of nfl talent. SC can pick apart our sun belt back 7 on defense, but not elite talent. We need more talent at DL, LB, and DB. Simple as that.

Was South Carolina stealing our calls? The more I think, the more I’m convinced they somehow knew what defense we were in before we were in it. What else can legitimately explain that performance last Saturday (rhetorical)
