Judging from the other Cubs thread on here I'm surprised there aren't more Cubs fans on this board. Enjoy Garza, if he keeps it together upstairs he should be a great pitcher for you guys.

He can definitely hit but he doesn't have great range. He is below average in almost every defensive metric there is. Defensive metrics aren't the greatest tool in the world but when they all say a player isn't good defensively it means something. He's a good hitting 2b playing SS.Starlin Castro is going to be a superstar. He's only 21. Has two triples today. Has great range. The Cubs finally develop a star.

He's below average to well below average. His hitting makes up for it but his defense isn't good.
The range isn't there though. His UZR is -2.1, his UZR/150 is -3 and his Total zone rating is -10. He can possibly fix the errors but he will never be an average defensive SS.His d needs work. But he has the range. His problem is the glove and throws. The range is there. Also, most 21 year olds are in the minors working on it. Unfortunately for him, he is having to learn in front of millions of people. He will be fine.
