I thought Manning was done choking...

look back, he clearly stated that money had to be included when measuring fanhood

Yeah, I see that's the words he used. I think he meant it just a tad differently though. Maybe he needs to rephrase it if he meant it differently.

i think maybe you saved him. He didn't mean it that way. one only needs to look at his ongoing attempt to become hat's assistant.

why does everyone compare Brady and Manning, I guess that is sports.

I wonder how they feel about each other?

They had dinner at a real fancy Japanese restaurant last offseason in Los Angeles...I think they are pretty good buddies

wow. 21k posts and probably half of them are bashing PM or singing Tom Brady's praises. /joke That is "contributing to the University of Tennessee" how?

Judging someone's opinion based on Post Count or a name highlighted in orange with a "VN Guru" below is about as naive a thing as I've seen on this forum. Not saying the people who fit the aforementioned are idiots, but considering that is based on post count and how long they've been here doesn't equate into having a good opinion in things.

I am beginning to think if Hat said the sky was falling half of the forum would believe him. No offense to Hat.

I'd say half is post count is due too exactly what is going on here. He can push a few folks buttons, and the bickering begins..

Given my personal demons, I'm the last person to rip Scott Hall.

I hope it didn't come across as me ripping him. My uncle died in prison at 41 of drugs so I know how it can affect families.

What about the story Nash told about them going to eat with all cops around?

If anyone choked in the Colts game, it was the receivers; namely, Marvin Harrison.

The Colts game was a perfect example of Peyton not being able to carry a team.

No run game = A loss in the NFL except for a select few QBs, namely Brett and Tom.

Garrard threw for 268 yards against the Pats. What happened? They lost.

Peyton lacks the "it" that QBs of legend have. Will Peyton will be in the HOF? Yes. Can Peyton put a team on his back and carry them to a victory, just will his team to a win? No. Only a select few can. Stats notwithstanding, he's never been able to. He's still one of the top 5 QBs in the NFL today though.

I think Peyton has the intangibles to lead his team to championships, but it does not happen every year. Even Tom Brady has lost a couple of playoff games. They would have won this game had Harrison not fumbled and had Keith not let the ball go through his hands on the goal line. He is not Joe Montana, but he is one of the best ever. Another huge factor was the loss of Freeney.

Favre and Manning have the same number of rings yet Brett can will his team to victory and Peyton can't?

The Kevin Nash story about the restaurant full of cops was hilarious. So was his Iron Sheik impersonation. Also, I didn't think you were were ripping Scott Hall.

Before anyone says it...I know it was a team effort...

Untimely turnovers and the Colts D letting the 2nd string QB who had never played in a post season game go right down the field defintely sucked...

BUT...

Manning had two chances to show he's done choking on those last two drives...

Those two drives were the kind that define a clutch QB...

Proof once again that Manning is brilliant when it doesn't matter and average when it does
i've seen Peyton choke games away. yesterday wasn't one of them.

that game falls squarely on:
1. Harrison's fumble in the 1st qtr. 14-0 quite a bit different than the resulting SD score to tie at 7-7. changed the tone of the game completely.
2. Recievers tipped both INT's to SD, they were not errant throws by Manning. Poor catching, and some timely bounces for SD.
3. the utter inability of the colt's d to stop Vincent Jackson, Billy volek and LT's back up when it mattered. the colts holding a lead at home late in the 4th qtr and billy volek leads the team on a 70+ yard scoring drive?

like i said, i've seen manning choke games away. this simply wasn't one of them.

agreed. i'm no huge peyton fan, but both those INTs weren't his fault and his d played horribly.

I never realized how nuts the Iron Shiek is. I can't believe he's still alive.

Yes, I can't even explain the thoughts that go through my head when I listen to that man.
