wow. 21k posts and probably half of them are bashing PM or singing Tom Brady's praises. /joke That is "contributing to the University of Tennessee" how?
Judging someone's opinion based on Post Count or a name highlighted in orange with a "VN Guru" below is about as naive a thing as I've seen on this forum. Not saying the people who fit the aforementioned are idiots, but considering that is based on post count and how long they've been here doesn't equate into having a good opinion in things.
I am beginning to think if Hat said the sky was falling half of the forum would believe him. No offense to Hat.
i've seen Peyton choke games away. yesterday wasn't one of them. Before anyone says it...I know it was a team effort...
Untimely turnovers and the Colts D letting the 2nd string QB who had never played in a post season game go right down the field defintely sucked...
BUT...
Manning had two chances to show he's done choking on those last two drives...
Those two drives were the kind that define a clutch QB...
Proof once again that Manning is brilliant when it doesn't matter and average when it does
agreedi've seen Peyton choke games away. yesterday wasn't one of them.
that game falls squarely on:
1. Harrison's fumble in the 1st qtr. 14-0 quite a bit different than the resulting SD score to tie at 7-7. changed the tone of the game completely.
2. Recievers tipped both INT's to SD, they were not errant throws by Manning. Poor catching, and some timely bounces for SD.
3. the utter inability of the colt's d to stop Vincent Jackson, Billy volek and LT's back up when it mattered. the colts holding a lead at home late in the 4th qtr and billy volek leads the team on a 70+ yard scoring drive?
like i said, i've seen manning choke games away. this simply wasn't one of them.
