I thought Manning was done choking...

and he is a new QB when in the clutch...and he pulled the same ol' stuff he has always pulled in that situation

pretty sure last year vs the Pats wasn't the "same ol' stuff". I always wonder if people that say 1 player is responsible for every loss ever played competitive team sports.

Okay okay, I said it wrong, but he gets the credit for a win, takes the fall for a loss... no matter what his actual role in either are.

Like I've said before, I have missed the headlines labeling Donovan McNabb a choke artist like PM has gotten. He's a QB too. Has nothing to do with the QB, has to do with PM being the best, and the media loves to tear down the best. Noone cares about doing to also-rans.

I think Clark is an awesome TE, but what does it say about the state of the team when Keith is your featured back and Clark is your go-to receiver on 4th and 5.

Freeney's injury hurt them today and it if they played NE next week, it may be the difference in the ability to win.

Tough season, lots of injuries, they'll be back.

To be honest... if they had beaten SD today... the Pats game would not be pretty. Brady would probably go for 400 yards and 4 TDs on their soft-zone defense. You would think that the Colts would have learned something from the Titans Defense being ineffective playing zone against them. WRs catching balls for 20+ yards with no defender within 10 yards of them.

Not again! He didn't choke. He had a tough task at hand that any QB could have failed trying to do. The offense was strictly him. His 2 picks were tipped balls that should have been caught by pros especially in big games. I didn't like his 2 long ball throws with just under 3 mins to go. They were moving the ball well 8-12 yards at a time so why choose to go 20+? But that's not choking. He has a ring and nothing will ever take that away. He came from way behind last year to beat the Pats for the AFC and Brady threw a pick at the end of that game. He didn't choke either, just couldn't get the completion. That's football.

So do Trent Dilfer, Mark Rypien, and Jim McMahon.

Point taken, but I think what Vol4eva was getting at was that like me, all we heard before PM won a SB was that he would be a choke artist til then. That has come and gone, and here someone is calling him a choke artist.

BTW, calling anyone with 402 yards passing and 3 TD's in the air that didn't have a running game a choke artist is just stupid.

*2 INTs (1 was debatable, other was on Keith)

And no blocking from Ugoh when he needed it and a drops by a normally sure-handed guys? (though you can't really blame Wayne... he was blasted)

So on 4th and 5 Manning puts the ball over a defenders hand where it hits Clark's hands and bounces off. As a result Manning chokes again...

An individual accomplishment. Then again, that's what Manning is about.

Wow. I'm getting the distinct opinion you do not like Manning. What would have to do to come across as "unselfish" to you? Oh wait, if he let other people take centerpiece you'd probably then start spouting off about how he is a 2nd rate QB. I'm surprised you haven't said anything about how he was 14-14 on short completions. I'll do it for you:

"All he cared about was getting the record for the most passes w/o an incompletion in the playoffs because Brady just did it"... close enough? Selfish selfish guy. You're right, he doesn't care about Super Bowls, or taking a pay-cut to allow his team to sign better players. Oh wait... nevermind.
