That's what Marcus Dupree said to Barry Switzer, and the guy said the next week there was a double wide trailer at the address Dupree wanted.

Dupree's Uncle said about recruiting..."They were all offering something, and if they weren't, then we weren't considering them."

he should have at least requested a home with a foundation, or something that would have gotten him or his uncle laid. what a stupid ass thing to ask for.

If he would have lived up to his potential, he would have been one of if not the best running back to ever play the game.

Kid needed some fatherly advice in the worst way. You'd think s guy named 'rev' would do that. Guess not...

That Pastor is just worthless. The poor guy just had no guidance whatsoever.

All of these 30 for 30 documentaries have been well done, but I think this may be about the most surreal, sad story yet.

Dang. I just watched a highlight reel and this guy hit the hole faster than I've ever seen anyone hit it.

I really enjoyed that 30 for 30, I thought it was a interesting story. I never had heard of it before.

Quite simply, Marcus had Herschel Walker's size and Bo Jackson's speed. The punt return against Colorado is still as stunning a play as anything I've ever seen on a college football field.

one of his runs reminded me, unfortunately, of Herschell running over Bill Bates

Agreed. The whole story just made me feel like I was in the 80's.
The Yugoslavian basketball episode that was running about a month ago was pretty depressing as well, but this entire series has been excellent.

Here's something to think about. Had DuPree been at OU for his senior year, he would have been the I back behind Troy Aikman.

Even without Aikman . . . Can you imagine trying to defend the option with Jamelle Holieway coming down the line with Marcus Dupree as the pitch man?

That would have made for some fun decisions by defenders at the corner. They also would have had a pre knee injury Lydell Carr at fullback.

Unfortunately he had the work ethic of Jamarcus Russell and was about as coachable as John Wall.
