I was thinking Utah has no chance against Florida

Last year Utah signed their first top 25 recruiting class ever (20th)
Last year they lost to Florida
They are not an SEC team
Last year they lost to UCLA
And probably, and I feel a little bad saying, no offense to Utah fans, I have little respect for a PAC-4 team, or whatever they are

Those are some of the big fence posts of my reasoning, I guess.

IMO, 'this video" it is a female Utah fan (apparent because of sweatshirt) with major daddy issues proving to some dumb internet loser that she knows what a machine gun sounds like, and can actually make a good machine gun sound. ...lastly, machine guns are cool and she put an American flag at the end, so Murica, we invented machine guns.

I thought it was a funny video, and wanted to share on VolNation in the "Around the NCAA" forum to pass time until the season started.
I bet Utah -6.5

Rising and Kuithe are both expected to play.

Rising also ran us over at times last year but one has to wonder if that's in the game plan for them. Would be foolish to risk re-injury against a non conference opponent before the conference even starts.

I hate to say this because I truly HATE UF... but I think the Gators win this one. I think they're more talented. I want to be wrong... really want. Utah seems to have some very talented guys in spots but UF man for man has more talent.

If UF fails to win this one then they really should start looking for a replacement. They may want to keep believing. But UT fans know all too well that when a HC routinely gets outcoached and beaten by lesser talented teams... it is time to cut bait.

We expect to lose this one and to have a sub .500 record this year. At best 7-5.

Napier has turned recruiting around in a major way and we look to make huge strides in '24 and '25. Sorry, but Napier isn't going anywhere.

I actually hope you are right. He looks a lot like Richt as a coach. Good recruiter. Popular. Lukewarm as a coach.

And so it begins…

UF has a 5-7 squad.

Napier has the #3 recruiting class for 2024 and 2025 is looking solid as well.

What sense does it make to “start looking for a replacement” one game into Season #2?

Like I said. By all means. Keep him. Love him. Adore him.

Please... please... keep him. You're right. He's a great coach. Terrific. Pure genius.
yeah talent is CLEARLY their #1 problem. Not the guy making millions of dollars deciding what to do with that talent.

I still think he levels them out eventually. But there is no way they are getting close to a championship with Napier.

I understand giving a dude his time (and I know this post was before the game), but if your best offensive play in year 2 is “TE flat to a guy who tore his ACL 9 months ago”…brother, I don’t think he’s the guy.
