I Will Go Out On A Limb

you are crazy landry will be lucky to play 10 minuets a game there is no way he starts.

So who should we have play point then? Golden? Please not McRae or Richardson. Do think Brian Lopez will start over Landry? Sorry, but he will be our best option next year. Truth hurts.

As long as nothing as big as our best player missing the entire season happens again, I agree.

If we can't win next year with all of our pieces, Martin will have to go. Until then people need to sit tight, CHILL THE F*** OUT, and cheer on the Vols.

This. All day, this.

I wish this site would check the IP address and only allow one screen name. That way people wouldn't be able to create new accounts or change their name and act like they knew it all along. I can honestly say my name has never changed on here, nor will it.

Someone who worries about this is probably the same person that would change their screen name just to say they knew it all along...

Is this really going out on a limb though? We should compete for the SEC and make the tourney next year as long as everyone is healthy. This team was going to struggle without Maymon, it got even worse once Golden got hurt and started playing terribly. He's going to have to get back to normal if we're going to be a good team next year.

There's a reason coaches negotiate contracts. Martin will coach the whole season next year at the minimum and I expect him to have more success too.

I agree. It just seems like a long limb given how this season has transpired.

I've addressed this before, should've saved the post lol...I'm not all that worried about 14-15. If next year is good it'll only help recruiting...if we have a good enough year that Hubbs and stokes are gone then that means we had a helluva year which will only help recruiting.

If I had to guess stokes and Hubbs will be back. That'd leave you:

SO-Landry
JR- Moore
SO- Hubbs
SR-Richardson
JR-Reese
SO-Davis
SR-Yemi
SR- Stokes

I think we'll add atleast one more to this signing class, probably a PG, so add a SO PG. That leaves 4 scholarships open, if we have a good year if expect a good class. There's a couple class of 14 kids who have Tennessee as their favorites right now.

The worst-case scenario would be a season that gets CCM fired, and then Stokes and Hubbs make the same decision that Harris and Hopson made and decide not to stay for the transition. And, then our recruiting class falls apart, and we have our worst team since 1994.

If the above possibility does not happen, then UT athletics will have turned a corner simply by avoiding the worst for a change.

Agree. That starting lineup should rock. Solid bench too

I have a hard time believing Golden comes off the bench for a freshman. I know he's not a true PG, but he will still have to play it next year. I think you swap those two.
