I'd ask for a change but

Warlick has no swagger, and our team has no swagger. She tries to act tough, but she isn't. This is why we wilt when the bright lights come on. Yes, we choke this game, but it does mean we won't be humiliated by Geno in the Final Four. His team would beat us by 40, because they don't play afraid.

You lost me when you used the word "swagger."

"Swagger"...it just sounds douche-ish.

I'm not sure the validity of this but maybe others can chime in whether or not I'm wrong. But I've been told Holly is way more soft on her players in practice than Pat ever was.

They made it to the elite 8 and you're calling for a new coach.

That's crazy.

Coach did well. We jumped out early then lost our ability to hit 10 ft and under shots for the rest of the 1st half. We should have had a 20 point lead at half but we missed easy shots. As much as I hate losing, you have to hit the easy shots to have a chance to win. If we would have done that then we would have blown Maryland out of the gym. NOT Holly's fault in the least. (especially with the injury bug she has had to deal with)

I wonder how many D1 basketball victories these Holly detractors have between them? Those that can, coach; those that can't, post on websites like VolNation.

The high school scouting needs to get better IMO. Yeah we're getting too recruits, but it seems like they're not as good of athletes as UCONN, ND, South Carolina, Stanford, etc. I also see a lot of stupid shots in just about every game as well.

Tennessee beat Stanford by 19 points. Do a little Homework before you make silly comments.

Next year we get Mercedes back and add Diamond. Offense should be much better.

It will be because Diamond is a high volume shooter and will create her own offense. The offensive scheme (or lack of one) will not change. We will win games against big time opponents when we can out talent them not outcoach them.

This is EXACTLY the type of post I'm expecting to see next year by NegaVols!!!! When Holly coaches next years team to the National Championship game people will cry...its bc of Diamond!!! Well DUH she's going to be a big part but she has to be caoched....barring NO INJURIES next year....Tenn won't be beat!!!!

The shirt was bad tonight but better than Sat., I call for a wardrobe consultant, maybe those shirts are causing a reflection on the basket, that is why it has a lid on it. Got to be a fashion designer in this crowd, offer your services.

Desperately need some offensive help. A lot of the games it looks like we don't even practice offense. Depressing loss. We could've--and should've--won the game.

I believe Diamond will be the key to our offense next season. With the spotlight being on her.. Graves, Carter, & co. won't have so much pressure to be a constant scorer. This loss hurts, but our future is bright!

Not true. Every coach the Vols face next year will scheme around defending Diamond. Holly and staff will have to counter that with how to get Diamond in position so she can be productive. That's part of coaching.

Some of y'all can hate and point fingers all you want too, but she still overcame much adversity with injuries and got this team to the Elite 8. That's solid coaching as I didn't see any real superstars on the floor after Izzy went down.

Most teams would be thrilled to make it to the Elite 8. We are spoiled from the Pat Summitt days, and breaking news... The legend, Pat Summitt is no longer able to coach due to medical issues. I'm fairly sure Pat had a say in it when Holly got the job, and that alone is good enough for me.

I'm no basketball guru, but do coach at the high school level and know quite a bit about the game. Some of you having meltdowns over losing in the Elite 8 need a serious reality check.

I agree with most of your post, but not sure about the Tennessee won't be beat part. I hate UConn but they are going to be loaded again next year. Not saying we can't beat them because I don't consider myself a nega-vol, just a realist. UConn will be tough to beat again, but 2017 really looks, on paper, to be the Lady Vols year. I say Final Four next year or better, and National Champs the year after.

I can agree somewhat with you there. UConn will be tough but I cant just see Diamond not wanting to waste another year....she's hungry and I don't see no one stopping her. She knows Stewie's chasing history with 4 National Championships and Diamond wants to be the one to stop it and restore glory.

probably, but CPS was one tuff Woman

I do agree that help is needed offensively, all the bad to dumb passes this year

and there was a bunch of em,I don't mind a few ESPN top 10 every now and again, but there were way to many turn overs per game this year

who is the coach responsible for that ? and I don't want to hear it is all on coach Warlick, which it is :)

but who runs it under her ?

i forget which game in the Tournament it was and the announcer said like wow, they have more than 10 turnovers and I knew they didn't know the Lady Vols

hopefully CHW will address these problems during the off season

but I do have to say,I am looking forward to a new season of Lady Vols Basketball :)

Agreed, but I'm just not sure Diamond will have as good of a supporting cast around her as Stewart will at UConn. I hope you're right though, and would love to see the 2 teams meet next year in the tourney. It would be an intense game for sure. To say the least, I miss the Lady Vol vs UConn rivalry. Especially when it was Pat's team vs Geno's. That was one of the best rivalries in all of sports. Hope we get back to that level sooner than later, and as early as next year. I think Diamond is going to be a special player here. Lord knows she showed out at UNC as a freshman, and I expect she will be even better here.

Yeah, the girls couldnt freelance this game into a win. Our offense is non existent unless we are playing cupcakes. Unfortunately when the girls need a coach to call a timeout, or strategy adjustment during a game, it's nonexistent as well.

To me this is so obvious. I think she tries to be their buddies as well as the coach.
