What do we want as Vols fans for the rest of the country?

We want Texas to deny Urban Meyer the top class. With potential defections looming, we want Seantrel Henderson to stay out of the SEC and we want Texas to finish with Hicks and Jeffcoat and have the number 1 class.

We want all of the players we cannot get who are considering the Gators or FSU to end up at FSU.

If the Noles close out with Christian Jones, J.R. Ferguson and Corey Lemonier which is very possible, they will have a nasty defense with stars like Luc already in it. Christian Green should head there as well. We want FSU robbing Florida of in state talent, and we want the guys wanting to move away from Mommy and Daddy heading to the beautiful mountains here.

We want USC to close strong! Look I cannot stand Kiffin, but I want all the guys who love him and O and not the program to be out there in LA when the program goes down. I also want them out of the SEC so we do not have to play against them. That means he closes with D Riley, Chaz Green, Arie K, Ambles, Robey and Dorsey. Ahmad Dixon and Josh Shirley are not threats to head to SEC rivals, but they are guys who may follow Kiffin.

We want Auburn who we do not face in the regular season for 3 years to win recruiting battles against teams we face more often. Also, kind of like the schadenfreude of watching USC kids post NCAA punishment, I want Auburn kids post Malzahns offense falling apart in conference. Auburn looks to have an exceptional class this year, and of SEC teams who could have an exceptional class, this one hurts us the least.

We want UGA's class to fall apart.
Dooley if he can steal Da'Rick will do more damage than losing Robey to them. If UGA is rash enough to fire Richt after a bad season, they will have a long hard slog to get back to where they can compete with TN and they may even slide below South Carolina until Spurrier dies. A bad UGA program helps us more than anything in our future recruiting needs.

A top 10 class considering all he has been facing is remarkable. I am proud of Coach Dooley!

I still want Green! Will pull for Fla St. but the only thing I pull for related to X and West Coast Bammers is that the mighty NCAA hammer drops hard on their AZZ!!! V,B!

Well stated!!!

I would say ideal (and realistic) for us consists of the following...

Gain: Bennett or Neal, Rogers, Stone, Glass, Clark, Jones

Lose: Williams

Wild Card: Ambles

This class is almost certainly top 10 but with a few chips falling our way could land at #5...thst would be unreal considering all that has happened in the last two weeks...

What's more important would be the way we fill needs if the class turns out this way...3 QB's, 5 OL's, 4 DL's, 2 LB's, 3 DB's, 3-5 (depending on where you slot Meline and Jones) playmakers with speed at WR/TE, a kicker...I'd say every need is effectively met if this is the class we end up with

I can't believe I just read "until Spurrier dies." I can't believe you typed that.

Ambles...The Trojan Horse to the trojans. If he repeats his HS behavior out west, the media would have a field day...

Spurrier is unlikely to retire I guess. I always thought he would ride off in a golfcart into the sunset, but he seems determined to get into the bottom of the top 25 and move to a solid 3-4 in the SEC east every year.

Not a chance. There's no way CSS pulls a B. Bowden. He'll retire within the next 3-5 years, IMHO. The guy's passion is Golf, not football.

Would trade a top 10 class for 4 or 5 more OL's and DL's that can be developed into solid players.

I would love to have Ambles, but the potential for trouble is not worth the risk, IMO. Perfect fit for USuC, another clown in the west cost circus, and we get to sit back and enjoy the show!

We play Alabama every year, so Auburn being strong negates some of the power (although they will still be awesome) of Alabama's recruiting.

Same for FSU being good helping us against UF.

We need in state kids at good states for talent to know they have lots of directions in state that are okay but where people will always hate them in half the state. Or they can just make their own way and head away from their families to the beautiful mountains where an entire state will love them!

Just going off what M.H.F. said is there anyone else who is a little shocked that FSU is pulling down all these big time recruits? Who would have thought the post-Bowden era would be going so well for them...can only be good for us.

If we get Ambles and Rogers,

And Dorsey is one of 3-4 prominent Gator defections that brings Texas into number one (I can dream right)

everything else looks like it is coming through.

Go Auburn! Hopefully by the time we play those stud recruits 4 years from now, your program will have been decimated or your school will have lost accredidation.

**** Kiffin...I don't want that piece of ****ing **** to get anyone. All I want that mother ****er to "get" is ****ing shot in compton when he takes the wrong turn out of his USC football complex. As far as I'm concerned, with Damien at the helm, USC winning pisses me off nearly as much if not equally to UF. Having said that, look out for Oregon to beat out USC in the players that haven't made their decisions between the two. That's the new powerhouse of the Pac 10, not the limp condoms

MHF, you have a thread starting sickness. Maybe it's an addiction. But you don't have to start a thread for every thought that pops into your head.

But idk why everyone thinks USC is going to fall of. What evidence is there of this? I hate lame kiffin as much as the next guy (look at the awesomely spray painted avatar) but USC is not going anywhere anytime soon.

agree. i wish that the ncaa would drop the hammer, but USC is one of those programs that will never get "hammered" like we would hope. if the ncaa had the goods on them, it would have dropped hard by now.

Some of us do not disappear when luc locks fail or we have had our wrists slapped for quoting from tos...
