That sounds like serious traction issues. I imagine that with slicks the 0-60 comes down to 2.3 and the quarter drops down to 8 or lower.

I wonder how one launches that thing on street tires.

They have launch control, but with that kind of power??

Slicks and a driver mod I believe you are correct. Low to mid 8's

I know the 500's pull the front tires with slicks. I'm sure this model would be even worse.

All the track times on the car are in street trim. Shelby will not release all the final numbers on the car. Obviously price keeps them to a limited number of folks.

What 1/4 time do most tracks require a full cage? 7s?

That's nuts. You can't take your stock Shelby to a track and run. That's awesome.

You get to run it once. Lol. Once it breaks track rules, you are asked to leave. Haha.
I'll never forget my first time driving a 500

Holy hell.

One of my customers bought one and was scared to stand on it. Asked me to take him for a ride. :)

He was impressed with what he bought.

Awesome! Being a passenger in your own car is a lot of fun. You get used to the power and torque as a driver, but you let some one else have a go and you be amazed what the car is capable of.

I'm arkansas, anything below the 10's you need a cage or you can't play.
Every track I've been to on the west coast (five or six different drag strips between Washington, Oregon and California) all have the same rule.

I could be way off base, but I'm pretty sure it's an NHRA rule that anything running less than 10 has to be caged.

I thought so, but wasn't 100% certain
