I think we would have won LSU and Arky with Ainge. Crompton looked like a deer in the headlights last night. It was kinda sad to watch Arky continually level him.

Ainge is real smart and knows all his progressions and can make decisions ALOT quicker than J.C.

How do we only give up 6 or 7 sacks all season and then play the Hogs and get blasted at the line every freaking play??

I'm not sure we would have beaten them with EA but it sure would have been a MUCH better game. Unless we stop the run there was no way we was going to beat them. I do agree with Erik we beat LSU however.

I disagree completely, unless Ainge was going to play defense and stop #5

I also think we would have beaten LSU with Ainge, It's hard to say about Arkansas.

Ainge would have definitely found more open receivers and the offense would have scored more points, but the defense still wouldn't have been able to stop McFadden, maybe if Harrell had still been playing.

Look guys Arky did not score but 3 in the second half. Crompton had WR open and could not hit them Ainge would of. if Ainge was in we win no doubt in my mind!

ainge would've made things a lot more interesting. He could've slowed down arkansas's first half because he would've GOTTEN RID OF THE FREAKING BALL and made some plays that would've made it a different game.. possibly a shootout, and there's no telling what would've happened there. That being said, our D just didn't show up, so we can't blame this on crompton

Come on guys stop bashing the D first off we are thin. Then Chavis made adjustments and they only scored 3 points the second half. Our O should of put up 42 at least. IMO O lost this one not D!

woulda, shoulda, coulda, it was a team effort in losing last night one person would have not made a difference. Believe me though the game I was impatiently awaiting is return so he could pull a miracle out. But even if he would have shown up I don't think we could have won

Bingo.

Maybe the LSU game would've been different, but the only difference in the Arkansas game might've been 50 or so points for the Hogs instead of 31.

I agree that we may have won with Ainge, but it is crazy to say that the O lost it. Our D let us get into too deep of a hole and made our O even more 1D. Essentially, Arky outplayed us in every element of the game.

We all know Cromp did his best last night and was merely too inexperienced to carry the day.

The same may be said for some of the defense. We're just too thin, and it's nobody's fault but Fate's.

Ainge against LSU would have been a win.

Ainge against Arkansas might not have been a win, but you can bet your house that he would've been able to sustain drives and keep their offense off the field..

then why were they throwing bombs with 4min to go in the freaking game?

Three 2nd string offensive linemen, two second string receivers, and Reggie Fish, 3rd string tailback were in the game at that point. Nutt was simply trying to get them some playing time.

For some of the 3rd quarter, and all of the 4th quarter, Nutt rotated starters and back ups in and out of the game.

The reason I think the game is alot closer with Ainge last night is b/c we would have been able to sustain some drives in the first half and possibly score whil keeping the Arky offense off the field. It would have definitely limited their posessions. Can't do that with three and outs.

crompton wasn't bad last night. chris houston had meachem covered for most of the night. he dropped one catchable ball. the receivers looked dejected at points in the first half. it wasn't because of crompton, however. the man coverage was more effective than i expected, frankly.

its been a fun week hanging out here on your board.
