Can't make any sort of absolute assessment after one game in a long season. Especially after starting on a 14-0 run. Kind of exposed yourself with your second and third comments, especially if you really understand the gameI was not sure what to make of this team. I said we would know more after the Florida game. We do. It lacks depth, and it has to play at its full potential to play with top teams, much less to beat them. Like most of Barnes’ teams, it lacks a solid post player. I’m not sure how far this team can go, but I will surprised if they make a deep tournament run.
Oh we understand. Football is bad because EVERY season game means way too much. 1 loss and you are done. Basketball EVERY season game means nothing, it is March that matters.
You have a point. In football, we have a regular season and then…whatever the knuckleheads come up with next. In basketball, we still have three seasons…preseason, regular season, and the postseason—the NCAA tournament. Only the last one counts…only one winner.
Barnes stay seated for most of the 2nd and was just shaking his head. It was like he had already given up after the 1st. That bothered me a little.Yeah I dunno what y’all are smoking but that was embarrassing. I honestly would’ve been ok with losing if we competed but nobody even showed up, and to a rival for that matter. Ridiculous…
It is just one game but those boys should be embarrassed and I hope this lights a fire in their asses.

Sorry, but the entire season counts. I suppose that's the way casual fans view the sportYou have a point. In football, we have a regular season and then…whatever the knuckleheads come up with next. I am more concerned about saturday's game. That is when I will start to perform opinions on this team. Not after a one game disaster of epic proportions, which can happen to any team.Pump that sunshine! Lord knows we need lots of it after what we all just witnessed. That was a beat down for the ages.
Hopefully we avenge that loss when they come to Knoxville.
I’m sure they were/are embarrassed as supposedly the leaders (ZZ, Gainey) were vocal in the locker room after the game and flight home.Yeah I dunno what y’all are smoking but that was embarrassing. Some folks have allowed their politics to make them predisposed to jump to the defense of anyone accused of sexual misconduct. I’m all for due process, but jumping in to white knight for every accused predator is… dubious. It’s pretty wild since you’d never take most these guys for being “soft on abusing women/girls” but here we areIf you're on a UT message board and don't know why UT fans would view any association with UF as a clear indication of deficient character, then you're either in the wrong place or you need to do less posting and more reading.
The thing that makes me hesitant to accuse without due process is the current culture and virtual universal access to the “media”. Social media, I believe they call it nowadays. Replete with apps that turn innocuous photos and videos into porn. Some folks have allowed their politics to make them predisposed to jump to the defense of anyone accused of sexual misconduct. There is a difference between being appropriately hesitant to condemn and jumping in to defend with equally little information. It’s the active and enthusiastic defenders who strike me as oddThe thing that makes me hesitant to accuse without due process is the current culture and virtual universal access to the “media”.
