wants to prove themselves in football, this should be a good time for them to campaign for the Big East or Big-TX. Are they scared that they might show their true colors?

No. Their academics are terrible.

Either that or schedule more than one legit game a year. Stop whining if you don't want to play ball with the big boys.

Yep, because they can snap their fingers just like that and say "Texas, let's play next year". No one wants to play them because they're afraid of losing. They'd rather beat up on the sacrificial lambs instead.

a) you dont join a conference. You are invited to join. Not up to BSU its up to the other schools

b) they already are an affiliate of the Pac 12.

and this.

in addition, joining the big east and winning is less impressive than winning a game of minesweeper.

I'm sure they could find a few teams that would play them.

You smoke a lot of pot don't you? I case you haven't been paying attention everytime Boise St plays a top team they beat them....Just to update you, they kicked UGA's rear end in the kickoff classic this year...They have made believers out of a lot of people...And some people still live on mars and don't believe the hype.

They've had an open invitation extended to any FBS school for several years now. No one's taken them up on it (except for the schools you see in their openers in recent years) because everyone's afraid of losing to them. The only school they've had to turn down was Nebraska and that was because Nebraska wanted 2 and 1 (2 home games back-to-back, 1 away a year or two down the line).

It'd be nice to see them play an Oklahoma or Alabama or someone, but there's no chance of it happening because every BCS school would much rather play Directional Michigan.

Alot say they're "afraid of losing" but fail to remember that they also require much more money to play them. $1 million. Lets see, Montana for half a mill or BSU for $1mill. Its all about the benjamins. Its fun to guess until pesky facts get in the way

The first rule of a fight is:

Do not fight if you gain nothing by winning.

Bama, Oklahoma, etc, gain nothing by beating Boise St. If they win, then it's because they SHOULD win. If they lose then Boise is just amazing and can play with "anybody." The reason they won't schedule them isn't because they are scared to lose, it's because even if they win... they gain nothing from it.

It is about money when you take a team across the country. That works both ways-for Boise and whoever they're playing. Not cheap to travel any team. Wasn't it UCONN that lost money last year traveling to their bowl game? And, Boise St. is ranked 5-6 by the very same system that ranks LSU 1-2 and Alabama 2-3.

That goes both ways.

GA is NOT a top team. LSU and Bama are top SEC teams. Top teams don't start 0-2. I noticed a lot of so-called top teams that BSU plays are not really at the top the year BSU wins.

And that's Boise's fault?

Yes, That's a chance you take when you only schedule one decent team a year. BSU puts all the eggs in one basket every year.

Except you ignore the previous posts about them having problems getting teams to play them. This whole argument is circular.

I'm not a Boise St. fan, but they win the games that count. GA this year, VA Tech last year, OU a few years ago in a BCS bowl, all of those teams were heavily favored or at least over-hyped by the media whether they are "top" teams or not.

I'm sure they would join the BigTX or PAC-12 without hesitation if they got an invite. But like mentioned earlier in this thread, they aren't counting on that any time soon.
