If Bray does not pan out

I wouldn't be surprised if Scroggins doesn't reconsider. Given how Matt Barkley is looking, Jesse will be catching serious sideline time for at least his first 2 years. I don't think he wants that.

How bout we let the kid put on a UT helmet and orange jersey before we start garbage threads such as this...

You never want to wait till then to try to come up with a plan B. I think he asks a very legitimate question. You hope the kid does great, but if not, you better have another horse in the stable.

do you honestly think that the staff is not still recruiting?
just read all the other threads here and I beleive that you will see that the answer is, yes
this thread takes a negative view of the best QB commit we have had in years, that is what I am pointing out

I know the staff is still recruiting. I never questioned that. The guy just asked what our other options are. At this point, we don't know.

I am not disagreeing with the person who started the post, BUT we really do not have a backup QB. Next year we are trusting Stephens and then the backup is Lamaison? You don't think there should be a nice QB competition?

I REALLY think we offer a true freshman qb the best chance in major conference play to start early?

last year we recruited two running backs (Oku and Brown) and landed them both... if Brown were injured or (whatever) we are ok that is the question for this thread... we don't need just one qb when no one we have on our roster is good enough to take Crompton's place

I really have a pretty good feeling about him. I'm not visualizing Manning records being shattered here or anything, but I think with the defense we have now + the defensive we seem to be building for the future, along with some talent at RB/WR here and coming in, we seriously just need a guy to come in here and be smart with the football. If he uses his head instead of mentally checking out like Jonathan Incrompetent, we'll be in pretty good shape.

I'd like to sign a second QB in 2010 just so that we don't have every egg in one highly-ranked, **** basket, which is what we have right now.

The 2011 qb group will be loaded with talent and we should be getting in on several possible studs...Eddie Gran loose in south florida will get something done...Got some good young ones down here so do not worry.

Thanks VolnMiami. Tell them to grow up quick; 2011 is a long way away.
