Cal said the only reason he left Memphis with a huge recruiting class was because Tucky was his dream job. Why would anybody leave their dream job?

I see it as a possibility.

WWW and Cal are close, WWW and LeBron are close, LeBron and Cal are close, Cal and Wall are close, LeBron likes Wall's play. Jay-Z owns a small portion of the Nets, he and LeBron are close, LeBron wants to play in a bigger market, Nets move to Brooklyn seems impending at this point.

So if the Nets win the draft lottery, take Wall, dump cash by trading somebody ( Harris? ), then they lure James and he lures Cal...or they get Cal and that helps lure James.

I think a lot of stars will have to line up for this to happen but anything is possible.

It was only his dream job because of the resources and money attached to the job. I doubt his heart is implanted firmly in the blue grass.

No, but his ass will be permanently implanted 6 feet deep in a Harlan Holler' should he try to leave. Those people don't play. If you thought the Kiffin proceedings were bad, oh my. :)

it would be about the same. but if Cal is smart he will realize that he is a college coach. why would he leave KY to get paid the same or less by an NBA team???

I would vote yes. You thought Kiffin had it tough getting out of Knoxville? I couldn't imagine what the bluegrass faithful would do to Calipari.

The way I look at it... is that if we were going to pay top dollar for a trashy slut, we at least got the best one out there. If its worth doing, its worth doing right. :)

Yeah, Kentucky would be worse than we were in the Kiffin fiasco. Just mention the names Rick Pitino or Tubby Smith to a Cats fan and see what reaction you get. My fiancee says the only people that Kentucky people have pure hatred for are Rick Pitino and Duke. If Cal was to bail on Kentucky, he would have a whole state putting death threats on his door. They don't play around.
