you're right, I didnt think about Troop, I just read that Walt's on his way out and I always had a great deal of respect for him during his time on the Hill

If Cut leaves we won't have to re-visit these speculation threads every single week!

Disregarding Cut altogether, I don't understand what makes anyone think that CTT is worthy of being an OC? Is it just because he jumps around a lot? I don't get it.

i agree w/ liper. CTT has proven he's good at motivating players, but do we know anything about him setting up plays and designing an offense against different defenses?

I hate to use this one...not really, but...:horse:

Let's wait and see...who knows, maybe Cut stays on, Ainge and Company gets to National title, Phil hangs it up on a high note and Cut becomes Head Coach....

I agree with Liper

Trooper's not ready for an OC, comes in from Baylor and coaches RB's, now wide recievers.

If cut leaves, we'll bring in someone established. We should go after Malzhan at Arkansas. He's nothing more than a figure head OC at Arkansas, Nutt's still running the show.

We'll have to see if Cut leaves,

I am nominating this post as the most ridiculous post I have ever read in this forum.

Which part do you disagree with Trooper not being ready, or Malzhan at Arkansas being considered at replacement.

I disagree with both parts. However, I mostly find fault with your argument against Trooper and for Malzhan. I would say that work at Baylor and UT definitely leads to having more and better experience than being a high school coach and an Arkansas OC who has no authority over game planning or play selection.

Well, if TT doesn't get the nod we'll have Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton down here setting up camp and decrying Tennessee Athletics.

i choose neither... verdict is still out on malzhan and no way does TT's work at Baylor and so far in Knoxville have him ready for that kind of job.

Point taken on the High School experince, but he brings in an offensive philosophy and game plan. Check out his book the Hurry up no Huddle.

Hopefully all this is a moot point and Cut doesn't leave.

When's the promotion to Field Grade?
