Firing him now really does nothing. He already is looking for prospective coaches, many whom have obligations to the NFL in which couldn't be hired until the season is over.

It seems like a simple plan to me. Hart is no fool and understands full well what keeps his bosses happy, football success/progress. We keep CDD until Hart has a hire ready to announce or a week or two after he has reached an agreement IMO. I don't think wins and losses matter as much ATP.

I'm okay with waiting on an announcement until the end of the year as long as someone with a proven capacity to coach a winning team is announced. I am not ready for another 'up and comer' with all the BS and on-the-job training this requires not to mention the time required to build relationships and crank up recruiting again.

I think you are dead on target and that is why Hart has kept quiet. Note that Dooley has said he and Hart talk every week so time will tell what happens. IF UT wins out he stays anything short of that and Dooley is gone.

That's how it's been. Hart stuck himself in a bad spot. And that's why it's a mess up there because $$$ changes everything, all the time.

I don't think anything will happen until after the Kentucky game. I think that was Hart's plan all along. Let's not call for his head just yet. Let's see what kinda hire this guy can make.
