If Florida wins this game in progress......

True, but UCLA certainly is a tough game. They were probably the best 2 seed.
North Carolina was better than UCLA. You have to have some semblence of an offense to be really good. If the UCLA-Kansas game had been played at any of the other three regional sites, the Jayhawks would have been playing yesterday.

Okay, but UCLA was the best overall 2-seed, and they got seeded in their home region. You play well enough throughout the season, you get some homecourt love if you're a one or two seed. UCLA is good, but not great, because of their offense. Their D is definitley one of the best in the country, but that's all it is. So, correction... This will be Florida's second tough game in the tournament.

UNC was a one seed though.

Edit: I forgot Georgetown was a two. I'm not sure who is better between them, but UCLA certainly should go down as a tough game.

On paper, UCLA wast he only "tough" game, but all of our opponents played us hard. This was no cakewalk like last year's tourney for the Gators. The Boilermakers, Bulldogs, and Ducks all gave us fits. Sure we could have had 'tougher' competition, but to say we haven't had a tough game is ridiculous. Most of those games weren't decided until the last 5 minutes in the game.

That speaks more to how poorly Florida played against Purdue and Butler than it does the respective quality of those two teams. I guarantee North Carolina and Kansas would have gladly traded tournament paths with Florida.

You have to admit, the Gators haven't exactly faced a Murderer's Row of opponents.

I can't argue with that. Last year's path seemed tougher to me, but then again Florida was a 3 seed last year so that probably has something to do with it.

Still, the last two have been reasonably difficult (Oregon and UCLA) and Florida has beaten both of them solidly, particularly with the inside presence of Horford. Defensively, Florida has been very good.
