If Hadden only fought like this

Would have been nice if that thought and effort began when the game started, not ended.

Good grief. I have never seen a player who made me more frustrated, more consistently, and I just don’t understand why we can’t find someone better to put in there.

Last year at SC he got torched repeatedly and got up every time talking trash. Last night I watched him literally bump into a ball carrier (make no attempt to wrap up), and then run alongside him for 30 yards, until he did a somersault at his feet. I was livid.

The worst thing, though, was when he got that interception against Austin Peay. I said: “oh great. Now he’s going to think he’s good.”
Yeah, that was horrible last night.

I'm mostly perplexed that both guys have their hands up in a defensive posture while wearing helmets and shoulder pads. You really want to stop that bare knuckle right cross to the helmet that would inflict more damage to the puncher than the recipient. I'm all for in game fighting, but at this point it's all offense and first to hit the throat wins.

We're down, what, 26-7 at halftime and Haddon and Milton take most of the criticism on this site. I can't think of one person in orange and white who performed worth a sh_t last night--and that includes the coaching staff.
Hadden deserves every bit of it. Very true its not just them though.

What is really disappointing is that it is continously allowed to happen. Hadden has been a liability for years and the coaches have not cleaned it up.... WTF?

Hadden needs to sit if he isn’t going to wrap up when tackling. And don’t talk smack when your getting torched. Time for somebody to beat him out. Florida’s first touchdown run should have been stopped near the line. Hadden does some kind of bump tackle while not even trying to us his 2 god given hands and arms. That type of play is unacceptable. Now others missed tackles in the first half as well, we need to spend quite a bit of time on tackling this week. On offense line, we have no good center behind Mays and the unit as a whole has got to play better, they improved in the second half but pass protection was still disappointing. We need some leaders to emerge on this team. GBO

If Hadden starts against UTSA it would a coaching malpractice and he probably shouldn't even get to play as a backup. Players should at minimum be held accountable for effort and willingness to tackle. That "bump" was one of the most embarrassing attempts I've seen and then he got outran, fell down and did a baby flip to put an exclamation point on the moment. If other players see that and don't even step on foot on the field, that will tell me all I need to know about these defensive coaches.
