If it comes down to a Bama-Oregon matchup

It'd likely be - presuming all have the same record - whichever one lost the least recently of the 3.

LSU would be out because of losing 2 weeks before the final rankings.

A&M would most likely get the nod because their last/only loss would have been in Sept.

That would of course be barring any of these losses being 1-3 point losses or OT losses.

A&M would probably be the highest ranked in that situation, but they would have to be more than 5 spots ahead of Alabama in the final poll, or Bama goes to the SEC title game.

"Why does Strength of Schedule rules only apply to us?"
-Boise State

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. :dance2:

Thru three weeks:

LSU has played 0 teams with a winning record.

Alabama has played 2 teams with a winning record (in fact, both teams are undefeated against every opponent other than Alabama).

So why has LSU played such a joke of a schedule?

By applying those stupid rules to the TAM/ALA game, ALA got smoked, since it was over in the 1st quarter. Stupid logic.

If Boise State had Alabamas schedule, I doubt they would be ranked in the top 3 at the end of the year, if they went undefeated.

I think ever major service that makes their own calculations on SOS has Bama last in the SEC and in some calculations the bottom 3rd of all of college football.

Haha,

You really need to stop crying, friend. The shine has already come completely off your win over TCU. And Florida is hardly looking like a juggernaut. You have UGA to complain about, and that's it. Heck, you don't even have to go to College Station.

Throw logic out the window and of course you are correct. Sorry every major calculation disagrees with you, Bamas SOS will drastically fall and LSU should drastically increase. What is funny is this is LSU's easiest schedule in years and it's still top 20 or even top 10 in the nation.

Hey ITT Tech wants to schedule, lil nicky should give them a ring. Well, out of this conversation... logic and gump don't mix.

I hate Bama because their Bama. I hate Oregon because they have so many bandwagon fans in KY and they act like Richards. I'm sure the real fans in Oregon are nice though.

On the topic of who wins...

Oregon right now by 10 pts.

But if Bama has time to prepare I'm afraid Bama wins.

from what ive heard from friends and family who went to that beat down, they knew how bad we were and didn't really talk too much about the game...great "hey how you doin?" kinda tailgating atmosphere

You so mad, and it so funny.

For all your pissing and moaning, LSU has only had a tougher SEC schedule than Alabama this year and last, and will have an easier one next year.

Fair point, forgot the 5 spots rule.

What happens if LSU is also within that 5 spots?

Two things could happen if all three finish within five spots of each other, depending on the order:

If it goes A&M, LSU, Bama = A&M goes because they beat LSU.

If it goes A&M, Bama, LSU = Bama goes because they beat A&M and finished ranked higher than LSU.

They would both have time to prepare. Saban had a yr to " prepare" for TAMU and still they gave up like 700 yards. People always throw that around like saban is the only one that gets to prepare.

for this years BCS Championship, which side will you be on? We had a great time in Eugene during our trip. The Duck fans bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. The last time I was in Tuscaloosa, I was cussed at and generally treated pretty crappy. Granted, the bad behavior was mostly from students or younger fans. I will firmly be in Oregon's corner if this game happens. What about you?

Is this even a question? I never pull for Alabama. Ever!

"Their" is possessive. Should be "They're Bama."

Bama favored over Oregon (Vegas line- you can bet right now) by 6.5.

If you think about it, what is the fourth Saturday in October going to look like? Bama is favored over a team that beat your team by 45. My, oh my...

I'll quote a poster on here from a few years ago (can't remember his name):

As soon as Alabama winning games and National Championships helps UT sign high profile recruits and win games, I'll start pulling for them
