But that team should have been in the Elite 8. Sweet 16 at least. Not a great way to finish.

Every loss sucks. Every tournament out sucks hard…….but I had an amazing time as a Vol fan this year.

Lots of wins, lots of big wins, SEC tourney championship, sucks it’s over but I can’t complain.

I’m sure their hurting, but I’m also sure they’ll remember this season and as a positive for the rest of their lives……..once the hurt is gone.

Amen. Man to see how KC played tonight and to see him so broke up after the game….must of been some dust in the room. I hope he earned everyone’s respect today. VFL. Great season and we have nothing to be ashamed of going out that way. I don’t believe TN was overrated at a 3 seed but MI is definitely underrated at an 11. They’re good. I was mad when I saw they even made the tournament and then ended up on our side. They have talent at every level. I wanted that rematch with Villanova so bad but I had a feeling if MI got past CO St then it would be a tough tough game.

This is what’s so annoying. We’ve had great teams under Pearl, Cuonzo, and Barnes, and that’s just in my lifetime. The fact that no Tennessee team has broken through to the F4 is honestly funny at this point. Tourney is such a crap shoot.

NCAA games are a lot about luck. Luck of the draw. Luck of the rim. Luck of the whistle. Everybody has good players. Good players have to make plays. I don't expect to ever see a deep run. If it happens, I'll be pleasantly shocked.

I just read postgame comments from Chandler, JJJ and Barnes. This team is definitely hurting for one another as they are a close knit team.

Barnes admitted he was hurting for the players and stated there was frustration ending in this fashion, and he has has frustration throughout his 30 yr coaching career. I’m sure he second guesses himself at times as he is human.

Chandler was very emotional and commented on Howard hugging him after the game. I didn’t realize Chandler and Howard’s son have been friends for almost 10 yrs and played ball together.

JJJ- a true leader! A reporter asked Chandler about his future. JJJ responded in so many words: “that he won’t be discussing his future today..”.

From 1984 to 1997, Tennessee played in just 1 NCAA Tournament game - and lost to West Virginia in 1989. We have had some heartbreak around here since 2007, but I will take that any day over not being relevant at all.
