If it start's next year?

I honestly hope the team doesn't overachieve next year because that will just set up impossible expectations from our level-headed fanbase. I want players to improve on fundamentals and learn how to stop someone on defense. 6 wins and a bowl would be ideal.

I just want to see a winning spirit again. I want to see the " Tennessee Swagger" again. I want to see us in a spoiler mode no matter who we play. I think Jones attitude will be contagious. We will see. Go Vols!

And' this' make's you' angry' because'??'' Who' care's's!!!''' My' point' wasn't' about' apostrophe's'

Yeah, and your posts are hard to read at times. Throwing the wrong punctuation around blindly, causes the meaning of sentences to change. Didn't you learn that in elementary and middle school?

haha apostrophes are not that difficult to learn. Except when it comes to its or it's I never can figure that one.

Too funny, I literally LOLed

Yes, that example is somewhat tougher than others. I try to remember that <<it's>> has to mean <<it is>>, so <<it's>> cannot also be used to show possession. However, I have seen <<it's>> used incorrectly so much (just about everywhere) that I really have to pause when I'm using it myself.

Why do so many people find it so hard to say, "I don't know?" All these predictions are so useless. We could have easily won every game but Bama this year. And we may very well be in the same situation next year. So the way I see it, that puts us somewhere from 4-13 wins. There you go. My bold prediction for 2013. Oh, and no matter which end of my bold prediction spectrum we end up on, I will be a fan of the Vols.

Yep, just like this year, started out top 6, ended up top 5. ey, nevermind, bad example.

Both bama and uga lose A LOT of talent after this year. Bama loses their mammoth oline and Ga loses most of their defense. Both will be beatable next year, IMO.

Bama lost a lot more last year and it really hurt them this year, oh wait. Until you get over the delusions you're going to keep being disappointed. 1 or 2 recruiting classes isn't going to get you close to the talent Ga or Bama has now and their recruiting classes will be in the top 5 this year.

how many want to go ahead and predict a loss to Western Kentucky right now? Be very careful with Western Kentucky.....just watch and see....they will be a pretty good team next year

It"s hard for me to figure it out a's well.

Texting has made it even wor'se.

I wonder how many poster would cringe if their pre-season predictions from last year were reposted?
Many were also pre-Derelict Rogers being dismissed.

Our new 3-4 Defense was going to RULE THE WORLD!
.... even if our offense struggled.

Yea I did, and sorry I did not realize there was people out there with such a pathetic view on this whole new coaching thing that they are willing to start a fuss over a punctuation mistake. I hope I can be forgiven for totally misleading the world with the wrong use of '. I also hope you can find better things to do than look for wrong punctuation marks in a sentence. More important things in life my friend, and you pick this to get your panties in a wad?? Sad.

If Chip bolts for the nfl, Oregon is not a definite loss.

Austin Peay W *Georgia L *Vanderbilt W
Western KY W *S. Car L Kentucky W
Oregon L Alabama L
S. Alabama W *Missouri W *= could go either way
*Florida L *Auburn W

Don't forget what may happen to Oregon when the NCAA finishes their investigation. There are 3 games here that could be wins next year. Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. If we could only spell DEF (not even the whole word) these would have been wins this year.

@oregon @florida @alabama. Next years schedule is brutal so I hope people don't start jumping ship and calling butch out on "winning championships" in his first year. As long as we are realistic as a fan base I think we will be pleased. After the past few seasons 8-4 with a bowl bid would have me thrilled but ill settle for any positive progression.

The three cupcake games. Scar, Georgia, Missouri, Kentucky, vandy all winnable games with maybe even a surprise win at Florida. My optimism is high from butchs motivating speech.

Georgia is really gonna lose alot more than us this year, and I think it will take them a couple of year's to rebuild. Plus we have them at home, I would love to see a win in that game.

Nobody thought that unranked UCLA coming off a 21-29 record under Neuheisel would beat preseason #1 USC this year.

Anything can happen when you have a quality coaching staff.
