If Lane would have stayed...

If Lane had stayed, he would not have been fired from his dream job this morning.

My thoughts...

1. Kiffin had no respect for the University.

2. We'd have been better off with him than Dooley from a coaching/ game winning standpoint.

3. He has won more or as many SEC games in 1 year as we have the past three.

4. Im glad he is gone and focus on the now.

5. Unicorns can fly.

He wasn't any good before he came to UT. He wasn't any good at UT. He wasn't any good after UT. He's a poser, plain and simple. Only reason he lasted this long at USC is he inherited a great team. Hopefully, people will understand now.

Fast Lane to the unemployment line. I knew he would be fired after giving up the most points in history. Karma is a beeeotch. Well he has more time for Knox now......

Whoo!! Wild boys!! Whoo!! Rip your shirt off and foam at the mouth!! Whoo!! Get some!!! Foooootballll!!!!!!

But seriously, how could anyone believe he'd have success here after losing in the PAC 12 with loads of talent?

For whatever reason, I don't know because I don't follow USC, it hasn't worked out for him thus far. Had he stayed here, I think we would be one of the Top 5 programs in the SEC this year. It would have been interesting to see how Lane would have progressed Bray and Da'Rick. I never would have thought Lane could have more success here than at USC, but that looks to be the case. Odd how things work sometimes.

We and him would have been better off. We had 3 losing seasons. With him here he would not be getting ready to be fired at usc and even if we got hit with sanctions it wouldn't be much worse than the 6-7 5-7 5-7 record we had plus no progress in the building of our roster since 2007. We would have at least beaten uf and uga a couple of times and we would have been at the 10 win mark by now. This would be year 5 if he would have stayed.

Please drink bleach to ensure that your mouth is cleaned out from all this blasphemy. Thank you.

He had #1 classes at USC,the best QB, started #1 in the polls, a weak PAC 12 schedule, and went nowhere but down

No thanks

I think it's hilarious how all these Kiffen love threads and comments start just before he's fired. :D

We would be on probation by now if he had stayed. He had us improving, but he wasn't doing it in a good way.

I think he cared so much about USC he got conservative with what he was doing, and that was his downfall.

He didn't care about us so he didn't have to be conservative in his actions or playcalls.

No way he would have lasted 5 years here. He'd have been fired about the same time that Dooley got fired. He's a BAD coach, plain and simple.

Dude, following a legendary coach and building a program is very different than getting handed to keys to kingdom. Kiffin didn't have to be a Pete Carroll here. He got to rebuild a program that he saw fit. And it showed good results in his first year.
